I'm not entirely sure what this list is. Maybe because nobody is entirely sure of it. Can anyone be?

Now, sure, you can dig deep into explanations, theories and hypotheses, but, for a moment, stop and think to yourself: is it truly that, or is it just a plot hole and so let's laugh about it and move on with our lives?

Whatever the case may be, folks online have been discussing the biggest of reality's plot holes that, if you ponder hard enough, will eventually drive you to madness. Probably. Kinda. Don't quote me on it.

I'm agnostic. I swing more towards being an atheist but most of them seem a little to closed minded to sit well with me. Religion on the other hand is a well crafted money making machine that prays on the weak.

That's what allows a "Total" eclipse to occur. If the moon were smaller or further away, it would be a transit; nearer or larger, it would be an occultation.

Maybe it depends on the stuff they give you. I don't know. My last time with (short-time) anesthesia I felt it kick in and was dizzy for a few seconds. Then followed some vivid and nice dreaming. When I woke up I felt heavy and tired for a while - like you feel when your alarm clock yanks you out of very deep sleep.

I think it's because REM sleep, the bit where you dream, is very brief in comparison to the deep, cleansing sleep that your brain spends most of the night in. Not a sleep expert tho.

That would make sense. The times I had very lucid dreams that felt long are the mornings when I feel like I hadn't slept much at all.

The only way to remember a dream is when you woke up slightly during the night. If you sleep all the way through you won't remember anything ☺️ And that came.from people at the sleeping lab where I got tested 🤗

In my experience, not necessarily. It's the dreams that I suddenly woken up from that quickly elude me. The way I understand it is that when you're dreaming, your brain is "organizing" all this information that's been on your mind. In normal dreams, the information is translated into random, weird images. Any information that is not of use you'll end up forgetting the dream. The information that's unresolved or ongoing will be remembered. Some dreams can be burned into your memories for many years. I still remember quite a few nightmares I had when I was a toddler. Now that I'm older and understand the world and my family better, I've realized my brain was definitely telling me something important that I need to know. Plus, the images were very disturbing in some of them. Ever get chased around by your butcher knife welding step-dad around your living room because he wants to cut the top of your head? Yeah, that was a very early nightmare I had when I was 3.

Yeah, that's the downside to lucid dreaming. I don't know if it's because you're working your brain when it should be resting or it's a state of semiconsiousness or what, but you won't get your proper rest.

Time is relative. When you're enjoying yourself, an hour seems like a minute. When you're miserable, a minute seems like an hour. When you're asleep, you have no perception of time because you're not experiencing it, so it temporarily doesn't exist for you.

Researchers estimate that the average person spends about two hours dreaming each night. REM sleep periods early in the night generally last about 10 minutes and gradually increase in length throughout the night to a maximum of about one hour.

“You Can Only Buy Used Mirrors”: 30 Of The Most Confusing Mind-Blowing Reality Plot Holes The Planck Unit exists. In theoretical maths, we can divide a number infinitely. In reality, there's a smallest possible "something" that you can divide to, the Planck Unit. Remember relativity, a unit of space is equivalent to a unit of time. They're not two different things, rather two different ways of measuring one thing. This means there's a smallest possible distance to traverse, and a smallest unit of time to do so...the universe is NOT analog! It has a FRAME RATE AND A PIXEL RESOLUTION.

“You Can Only Buy Used Mirrors”: 30 Of The Most Confusing Mind-Blowing Reality Plot Holes I have four children, one just graduated high school, one just graduated college. One is already done with his first year of middle school. My youngest just turned 9 and a half years old, closing in on 10. She is actually wearing an old dance outfit that originally belonged to the oldest. I told her "hey, that used to be your sister's."

What am I getting at? Time can move so slowly at times, especially when you are waiting for something to happen. But then you get to be middle aged like I am now and you look back and it just seems like it went by in a flash.

Let me give an example that might be more universal. I work in education. We just had the absolutely weirdest, most bonkers and difficult school year probably of my entire career. Lots of tedious, difficult, and mind numbing work to pull it off. But then almost like a flash, looking back, it's over. It's time for summer again. And summer, where I live anyway, the summer goes fastest of all.

Time and how it feels passing versus how it feels looking back is a huge plot hole or a "glitch in the matrix" if you will.

And when I was younger people tried to explain how fast it went, like with fatherhood or my career and things. I could not believe them when they told me, but they were right. Luckily I took some pictures and built up some memories that will last because otherwise it would all be a blur.

Argh!!! It's really frustrating trying to word the response correctly, because it's so hard to explain! Generally, when suffering from a delusion, it feels so real that nothing could shake that belief, so much so, that it's easier to be convinced that something real is a delusion than that the delusion isn't real. So technically, if I am delusional, and I could be convinced that you are a delusion, you are most definitely real and not a figment of my imagination. Those few that are self aware delusional, still believe that it's real, but have the internal battle of acting according to what they think is most normal.
