The internet is one of those platforms that caters to pretty much anyone and in any way, and today, the lovers of cats and how blasé they are can rejoice. We present you with a list of photos showing places where cats shouldn’t be, but they are, because they can.

The Twitter thread “place where cat shouldn’t be” has a whopping number of 644.8K followers who can’t get enough of sharing the funniest places cats manage to take a rest, catch a good nap, or just hang out and watch the world go by. As you’re having a laugh or two, you can vote for your favorite ones and let us know what you think.

It seems that the generic trend is of the cats needing a nap in the most ridiculous places. You have cats sleeping in vases, on top of newly grown fragile plants, and positioning themselves in quite uncomfortable-looking spaces that are often probably too small for their size. And it’s evident that the necessity to place themselves in the most unexpected places was inevitable and had to be done.

What is the point of that ugly chicken anyway? Better as a cat bed.

"Right away" is somewhat relative. It still took something like 5-10 minutes, if memory serves.

I remember this one! It took about three minutes from takeoff to re-landing. The kitty was safe - yay! https://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/jun/22/cat-clings-to-plane-wing-for-flight

I interviewed the cat, he stated it was a least eight hours and it added to his terror the fact that this was the 9th time he did something without considering cause and effect. Never again, he said, "Never agaaain!"

I recall seeing the video to this - the panic on both the cat and passengers face when they saw each other was real!

This is the video behind this one.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J_8mdH20qTQ Apparently the cat is actually inside the wing and not on it. The flight is normally 20 minutes long and the cat was safe.

It's still scary! Cats do unpredictable things. My heart was in my throat when I first saw that video.

Even though I've seen the original video a couple of times and know that everything turns out all right, I always get extremely anxious when I see or think about this. Poor kitty!!!

I saw the video once, the cat is fine, they somehow landed safely with the cat still on the wing. Still, I just CAN'T look at this picture.

No worries the kitty is safe. They landed the plane as soon as they saw the cat.

It was hidden in the wing when the guy took off, they didn't know it was there. it crawled forward and meows for attention and the pilot is shocked when he sees it. But the cat is relatively safe there, they land and get him, there's a dash video of it

It is a common knowledge that cats belong in boxes.

Just as people find themselves asleep in funny and uncomfortable positions, cats take it to another level with their unconventional napping spots. From vases to fragile plants, these feline friends always manage to get cozy even in inadequate spaces.

Their antics closely mirror the strange and funny positions humans end up in while napping, which is amusingly documented in this compilation of awkward human sleep moments.
