I'd visit my grandparents for two weeks every summer in Northern CA, and every morning my grandfather would pick red raspberries, We'd have a huge bowl each. One of my best childhood memories. Also, corn on the cob from his garden. My grandma would start the water boiling, and we'd pick the corn, shucking them as we raced back to the house to have the freshest ear of corn ever.

My husband and I still go picking blackberries now and we still eat some straight off the bush.

Omg !! In the woods down the street , there was an area full of them , they were always one of the best parts of summer growing up ! We’d eat tons of them , and guess what !? No one ever got sick and we’re all still alive today to talk about it

I still do at 55, I have some that grow at the edge of the woods in my backyard. They make a great homemade cobbler.

YES AND I MISS IT SO MUCH. Before my grandpa passed of cancer this year, he owned property on an island and my family and I would all go berry picking near the property. It's a very fond memory I have from a CPTSD brain.

I have mulberries in my backyard, and when we were kids running around my grandma's backyard, we would stain our fingers, lips and tongues purple and ruin our appetites every time. ;-)

my parents removed ours because my siblings and I with the neigbours kids 'painted' their pure white bull terrier. He got a big B on his head coz his name was Buddy lol

We had these is the pastures and our horses would come in with purple lips!

Its hard to find those bushes where I live. The one I found got bull dosed for new housing. ☹️

my ex's uncle gave his wife some thornless bushes for her garden, he then strung the for her on barbed wire

Add plums and we’re in business!! Playing outside all day and run over to these bushes to get a snack!

The bottom of my feet were a constant hue of purple from running around barefooted, we had 2 mulberry trees.
