The girl’s name is Willow and her pet rat’s name is Disco Bacon, which we have to say is the best name ever.

This pair has been the best of friends for three years now and they do everything together, from having dance parties, to coming up with cool new adventures to go on! Who would have thought that a rat makes such a good play buddy?

The photographer that captured this amazing duo is named Andrea Martin, and she’s an award-winning photographer from West Virginia. On her Instagram page, you can find lots of children photoshoots with other animals, like ducks, goats, and pigs. In her bio, she writes: “Wife, mom, coffee lover, international award-winning children and family photographer in West Virginia.”

Andrea told Bored Panda: “When I met Willow a few years ago I was immediately drawn to her fun, spunky personality, and of course her amazing red hair and freckles. Last few years I saw her mom’s Facebook posts of Willow and her rat. I reached out to them and asked if I could capture their special bond. My favorite thing to shoot is children and animals.”

“Willow named her pet rat ‘Disco Bacon’ because, as she says ‘He loves a disco party and to dance’ and Willow’s absolute favorite food is bacon.
Disco Bacon has spent his three years with Willow, dressed in tutus, riding around in toy cars, sitting for hours in Willow’s lap, and listening to her read stories.”
