I Photographed Over 200 Families With Rescued Dogs To Inspire Others To Adopt

In September 2014 I decided to meet people around New York and Toronto and photograph their rescued dogs and how rescuing a dog has impacted their lives.

I wanted to showcase the many different dogs and people who adopt and allow them to celebrate their very personal relationships with their dogs. When the internet is filled with so many sad homeless dog stories, I feel it’s important to highlight the many delightful endings these dogs have.

That's so inspirational. I find it so sad how owners treated their dogs and abused them. It's really fortunate we have people like them.

I adopted a senior girl, named Moo, 6 months ago. She is 7 years old and the best choice of my life. She was starving, she had a big wound by a rake and she had an accident before. But now, she is happy and gained some weight. The wound diappeared :)

What an awesome thing to do... I love rescue dogs and the people who rescue and advocate for them.

Gorgeous and heartwarming. If only more people would rescue, foster and adopt rather than buy from dodgy breeders or sales sites. Www.facebook.com/caninecupcakekitchen

Beautiful dogs and beautiful people. I can't believe the pit bull whom no one wanted because of his funny walk - as if everyone else strides about like supermodels. That dog Sakari looks as if she still can't believe it!
