This online community (which also calls itself the 'Gallery of Inexplicable Stupidity') unites over 6.4 million members, and they're constantly sharing the dumbest statements and actions they've witnessed both online and in real life.

So often miserable people want others to be miserable like them. The gun toting gun lobbyists of the US will never see that if the public don’t have guns they can’t shoot each other, themselves or family members, even by accident.
If, however, these pictures get to you now and make you want to click away, I'll argue to go even further, turn off your browser, put away your phone, and disconnect. After all, it's the weekend.
Sure, taking a walk outside without scrolling might seem dull. But you might be surprised where you can end up if you allow your mind to roam free. "Boredom is a symptom, not a condition. In other words, no one is born bored. It arises due to certain conditions," Manhattan-based psychotherapist, speaker, and author Sean Grover told Bored Panda.
"Underneath boredom is always frustration. When frustration is met with passivity, boredom is a natural outcome," Grover, who has 25 years of experience working with patients in group therapy in clinics, schools, and health centers, said.

"Boredom can trigger enormous creativity when we tune in to the underlying frustration and come up with creative solutions," Grover highlighted. "Many inventions came out of tackling boredom and resolving it."

It's very very likely. Because it's well known that lions are fully capable to understand not just the concept of gender but also to identify such genders in humans. "Simba, take a look: that human has short hair therefore he's a male. Funny species those humans; the male has short hair while it's pretty logical that it's the female who's got short hair among us lions. Well, I don't judge them, live and let live. I say!".

What??? It's been well documented for decades that many, many species of animals show homosexual behaviours, including lions. I bought a book about in the '90s. The only difference between humans and animals, as stated in my book, seemed to be that other animals would switch between the two and they didn't tend to only have homosexual sex.

I recall reading of famous general/emperor who was rumoured to be gay paired men up who were lovers to fight alongside one another in battle because they would fight more valiantly to protect the one they loved. There are many indigenous tribes that are openly bisexual or gay. As well as cultures where being ‘two spirited,’ is understood to be completely natural. Sexuality, like religion has been a means of controlling the populace for political power. Think propaganda and the fear it creates to conform. Acceptance has waned/increased with the rise and fall of civilizations.

Unfortunately true. Remember the chain gangs? One can only hope that this modern version at least involves some degree of choice by the convict and some recompense, but it's a very slippery slope.

I'm sorry I have to admit when my friends were discussing a school shooting, I asked which one. Now when I hear shooting I just ask was it USA. If yes then it's another day, outside I'm interested a little more. It's a bad thing to say, but you have shootings literally every week in schools and I cannot keep up. My country had one shooting, one bullet was shot from hunting rifle. In the last 32years. How? And we also have teenage prisoners, and vandals, and murders but nothing compared to USA. Most of our killings are drinking gone wild and one dies. It's not perfect but guns are not allowed and police cannot shoot the criminal in the back of the body, cannot do fatal shootings. Why do you allow this? Also how come you allow insurance companies decide who gets to live, if you expect doctors to act under oath they gave. You literally make the doctors profession invalid when giving treatment decision to nonmedical persons in stuffy office looking to hit commission

As Grover pointed out, that whole thrilling journey started from unpacking boredom and coming up with a creative solution. Something that has become increasingly rare in our loud world.
With stimulation right at our fingertips, our tolerance for being bored has greatly diminished.
In fact, two-thirds of American adults routinely look at their phones even when they're not making a sound.

In one study, published in the Academy of Management Discoveries, researchers lulled a group into boredom by instructing them to sort beans by color while they gave another group a far more interesting craft to do. Afterward, each group was directed to come up with good excuses for tardiness. The bored group bested their counterparts on both the number and creativity of ideas, as evaluated by objective outside judges.

Another study concluded that boredom motivates people to seek out novelty. Our minds simply wander when we're bored, and we think of new things to try.
The goal, according to Grover, is to dig into the boredom and ask ourselves what is the message it's sending us. "Are you creatively stagnant? Are you lonely? Does your body need exercise? Are you engaged in enough stimulating activities? Are you trying new things?" the psychotherapist said there can be many.
