My name is Lance Reis and I am a portrait and creative art photographer based in Portland, Oregon. For my shoots, I bring my subjects to life with a mixture of natural light and creative cinematic concepts. For me, the most important elements of my shoots are the connection I make with my subjects and the ability to make anyone feel comfortable in front of the lens. I met Jordan & Viviana on Instagram and we instantly knew we had to shoot together.
So I flew to Tampa Florida from Portland and we shot various concepts but this was my favorite one. I’ve shot a lot of cosplay and I’ve always thought it would be fun to shoot a concept showing a side of the classic Disney princess we never get to see. It’s always the same role “damsel in distress waiting for the prince to come to save her” well it’s 2019 and women don’t sit around waiting for a man to come save them. Not every princess needs a prince. Love is love & I wanted to show that in a creative way. Here are 2 other Disney shoots I’ve done – Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty.
If you enjoy this set make sure to check out my Instagram where you will find all kinds of cosplay and creative concepts based on social issues from depression, addiction, PTSD, domestic abuse, and bullying.

Share on FacebookSo you paid two women to dress seductively covered them in thick makeup and had them kiss honestly this looks alot more like lesbian porn based on male fantasy. They are very pretty pictures though that's just honestly what I thought of when I saw it
Is the message: A woman that doesn't need a man is a lesbian? Coz that's not empowering for hetero women or lesbians. Surely a woman fighting a dragon or hacking through thorns whilst on horseback, basically rescuing herself is the imagine that's needed to show princesses that don't need men.
Plastic models with c**p tattoos? Check. "Sexy" Disney costumes from the Halloween store? Check. "Provocative" photos to turn guys on? Check. Women once again being naught but props? Check. Page views on BP? Sadly, check.
Nothing about these photos suggests the women posing for them are a couple. I'm not saying they aren't, either, but you can't take a photo of two women side by side and go "Look! Lesbians!", because these photos really just look staged. Even the one where they could be kissing, they're not kissing, which further supports the staged argument. You have a good eye for photography, but flying across the country to do this was unnecessary, and no offence, but it's as though a 10-year-old boy has learned what lesbians are, and posted photos he found using Google, only with SafeSearch left on. Love is love, sadly these photos don't depict that.
This is legitimately one of the most tasteless things I've ever seen on bored panda.
I'm certainly not a Disney Princess, I don't have a man, I'm not a Lesbian (not that there's anything wrong with that~), but I was expecting something a little different. Ariel taking care of her own houseboat, Moana owning a surf shack, Cinderella being a veterinarian, Moana in the Army...
YES, me too. DIsney Princesses just out there doing their thing.
Load More Replies...This is the most hetero male interpretation of "not needing a prince" ever!
This the same guy who did the joker photoshoot for the bullied kid Race. Give the man a f*****g break dudes.
The photoshoot for the kid was bp material. Someone using art to make a difference in someone's life... awesome! Kudos to the artist for that work. But just because his previous work was good, doesn't mean that we can't view this piece as uninspired and poorly executed. I think people are being so harsh because it is insulting to the forum to try to pass a psuedo-sexual fantasy off as "art" or a shoot about "not needing a man." To add insult to injury, the photography itself is only "okay."
Load More Replies...I love the concept of "not needing a man", but couldn't you just show them doing something badass without a man, then maybe they kiss quickly, or hug or something? I mean, this is kinda like princesses doing sexual stuff.
My only problem with it is taking something as wholesome as Disney princesses and turning into something that resembles the beginning of a porn movie. There are ways to show how Disney Princesses don't need a man without bringing sex into it.....
People can be so close minded to art. I think it's stunning and beautiful. They never actually kiss and even if they did, who cares. I love your work!
Retread because of your comment. The way it's worded, yeah, it seems as if he's speaking of this post as being Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty. No where in those two paragraphs does he introduce the pics that actually follow, Belle and Snow White. As for the stroke, are you experiencing any numbness on one side of your body, having difficulty speaking or chewing, were you unable to type using both hands? If so, please see a Dr immediately.
Load More Replies...Nevermind dear, you didn't have a chance with either of them anyway. Smooches.
