Interview With ArtistRyosuke Kosuge, also known as RK, is a Tokyo-based photographer who is the master of capturing the beauty and diversity of Asia. He travels around countries like Japan, Taiwan, China and Vietnam to photograph captivating architecture, cityscapes, nature and the beautiful people that live there.

RK is a versatile artist involved in various fields such as photography, graphic design, and DJing. He holds the exclusive position of iPhone Photographer for the running crew "AFE TOKYO" and is considered as one of the prominent Japanese artists.
We reached out to RK to ask him more about himself and his creative process. We were curious about how his journey as a photographer started. He shared that he began taking photos after joining a running team called AFE TOKYO. Since then, he has captured many captivating shots along his journey.
In 2018, alongside his other roles, RK pursued his passion for photography and transitioned to freelancing. He switched to using a single-lens reflex camera and created numerous remarkable pieces like "His Grandpa in Akihabara" and "Taipei Bridge Bike".

We wanted to know what inspired RK to specifically delve into capturing the beauty that Asia has to offer. The artist answered that he likes traditional Asian architecture. "I wanted to express these architectures in my own way, so I started taking pictures."

Beautiful photography! I get this strange sense of mystery and awe from it! Then again, objects larger than an average human interest me. But nonetheless it's still stunning!
RK's captivating photographs depict a wide range of subjects, including stunning portraits of people, as well as captivating depictions of streets, buildings, and nature, all characterized by vibrant colors. His talent has attracted attention not only in Japan but also in various international media outlets.
However, creating art also comes with its own challenges. For RK, The most difficult part is the preparation for the location, such as the route to get there, the choice of time to shoot, and the anticipation and prediction of the location. "But at the same time, it is fun. The people I met, the scenery, the smells... I enjoy all of them."
