these were built to last and outlived their use...empty echoes in time
I don't understand, why would someone let these stunning places ans homes fall into such neglect? They are absolutely beautiful.
I would frame this one and hang it in the center of a pale gray wall
There is something sad in amandoned cinemas and theatres. I mean, even more than in other deserted places. Maybe because they were designed to make crowds of people happy? When a place for fun and entertainment is empty and neglected, it looks more unnatural and gloomy than in any other building.
I would LOVE to be able to restore all the furniture in these photos! It is all so amazing.
Would this have been a gathering space? The lighting fixtures are gorgeous, as is the ceiling mural.
Curious what these places are for sale for. I've heard the economy in Italy is very very bad right now, that no one can afford anything atm
It always surprises me how such places could be abandoned and forgotten when someone clearly cared deeply at some point. Thanks for the pictures, would appreciate if you added captions/names for the places.
I agree! I'd love just a little more detail. Where are the places - even if just a broad description; I know trespassing and vandalism can be a problem. What they were used for, and when abandoned (if known). Also, how do you find them all and get access?!
