You moan because we want animals to be treated with compassion and respect, just like you would expect as a living, conscious being. We really don't care about coming across like that, meat eaters are big softies, "boo-hoo a vegan shouted at me", yes i f****n did, how do you think that compares to being raped, tortured and mutilated so people can have their nicely pre-packaged meat? No comparison, your opinions don't matter when there is an innocent victim.

What does that have to do with animal welfare? Vegans seem judgy to you because you don’t care about animals and feel personally attacked.

Claire: And what about the natural habitats that are being destroyed for farming land??? How many millions of birds, animals and insects die for that? Without even considering how there is still not a plant based fiber that is really sustainable without using massive amounts of resources to produce doing more harm to the environment..... And yes wool CAN be a cruel industry but generally is not. So the message her should be to look into the source of your wool and get products from farmers that treat their animals right

There are so many plant-based things that people can wear. Wool is often taken from sheep in unnecessarily cruel ways that injure and hurt them.

You're right, but PETA makes it sound like you shouldn't shear at all. If/when we get sheep, and we shear them, we will shear them with utmost care

A lot of sheep farmers are paid for amounts of sheep sheared so the quicker they are, the more they are paid so that means rougher techniques and more stress for the sheep, if done properly with care it shouldn't cause the animals any stress but of course, money before welfare.

I completely agree with you - I was just about to comment the same thing. I think sheep shouldn't have been bred so they have to be sheered, but now that they are, we do have to do it and we should. We just should do it the same way a groomer cuts a dog's hair.

THANK YOU! So PETA didn't go about this the perfect so everyone jumps down their throats about. They are trying to raise awareness and help these poor animals that are skinned and cut and hurt. I come to this site because they always post uplifting happy things especially about animals. I'm very disappointed that they would make this post bashing an organization that yes isn't perfect but is still at least trying to help!
