50 People Who Got Annoyed At Their Pets, But Then Remembered Who They Were Talking To
I love my cat so much it hurts. And because of that, he’s quite spoiled. He gets plenty of treats, lots of cuddles, tons of playtime, and when he’s fast asleep napping on my lap, I don’t dare move a muscle until he decides it's time to get up. However, I have to admit that there are still moments when I lose my patience. Being the foodie that he is, he’ll take any opportunity to lick a stick of butter or steal something from the counter while I’m cooking, which often results in him getting chased out of the kitchen…
But I could never stay mad at him for more than a few seconds, and according to a recent TikTok trend, many other pet owners feel the same way. Below, you’ll find some of the cutest pics pet parents have recently shared online, proving that it’s impossible to be angry with our precious furry friends!

So very true! My eldest was quite a handful, especially in his last years, but since he passed on on January 1st, now more than ever I recall all of the years since he was just a smol kitty we saved from abandonment. 21 years he shared his life with me.
I'm always overjoyed to see pups with imperfections having found a loving (hopefully forever) home.
I know! Sometimes imperfections are just perfect

For many owners, having a pet is somewhat like having a child. You love your furry little friend unconditionally, and you are responsible for their wellbeing. But there are still moments when you might become frustrated and have to take a few deep breaths to prevent yourself from yelling at your child (or fur baby).
It’s totally understandable to feel frustrated when your dog chews up your new shoes or your cat poops on the bathmat that you just washed. But if you need a reminder of why we should never scold our pets, Chewy explains on their site that it’s simply not effective. Your dog doesn’t understand English (or any other language you may speak), and they likely didn’t do whatever you’re mad at them for on purpose. It’s better to simply take actions to prevent the same thing from happening in the future and move on.
I always tell my girl that I can never stay mad if I’m upset with something she’s done because she is that adorable and I’m not the kind of person to stay mad, anyway!
Bottom photo: "so this little sh*t is taking over now, huh?" 🤭
Getting angry at your pet might also cause them to become confused. If they don’t understand why you’re upset, they have no idea what caused it or what they did wrong. And when you’re super friendly and affectionate towards them later, they might start to wonder what sort of behavior they should expect from you. Will she be kind today, or will I get yelled at for some random reason?
At the same time, this can cause issues when trying to train your pet. Scaring your animal might make them stop what they’re doing in that moment, but Chewy notes that it doesn’t actually teach them what the right thing to do is. So it’s likely that you’ll encounter the same issue again and again.
Looks ready to take on the world! (And the world has been rough on him.)
Those beautiful ears have been mutilated. Cropped ears should be banned world wide.
Didn't need the second photo. How could you be mad at the face in the first one?
I don't think we need the second pictures. The first ones are cute and sweet enough to shame us for our tempers
Contrary to what you might assume, scolding your pet for certain behavior can actually encourage them to act out. For example, if you yell at your dog, they might assume that yelling, or barking loudly, is appropriate behavior. And before you know it, you might have a dog that barks incessantly, rather than a well-trained pup who respects you and understands that it needs to keep its voice down.
It's one of those elementary school photos you're parents display in the living room for 10+ years while you keep all your friends from coming over to your house!
They hang those pictures to remember who they're getting mad at :)

Bassetts never do, had one in my childhood and he would step on them.

Load More Replies...When it comes to cats, it can be hard to know how to discipline them for bad behavior. After all, many owners feel like their furry friends intentionally try to infuriate them (even though they don’t, I promise). But according to The Spruce Pets, there is a “right way” to show your cat consequences. As with most animals (and humans, for that matter) positive reinforcement is always key. Reward good behavior, and find a way to motivate your furry friend to behave well.
That's the word I was looking for! DERP derp derp derp derpy dog
Load More Replies...Don’t ever physically reprimand your cat. It might be tempting to scare them or grab them by the neck, but this can do much more harm than good. Instead, provide alternatives for their bad behavior. For example, show them a scratching post or a toy if they’re damaging your arm or furniture. And if they keep turning on the sink (like my cat), that’s probably a good sign to get them a water fountain. My little guy loves his!
Smokey used to do that to my laptop. It crashed it one time and I lost an entire research paper. This was in 2005. I miss her so much
I totally have kitten fever right now and all these pics are killing me!! I want them all.
An orange cat AND a tuxedo?? How is the house still in one piece?
Any time an animal has behavioral issues, it’s important to not only address the behavior but to find out the root cause. Sometimes, it could be a medical issue causing them to act up. If they’re in pain or experiencing lots of discomfort, they might be trying to get your attention or not feeling like themself at all. You should always show your pet empathy and try to learn their language, as you know that they can’t speak yours.
Just reading the article above photo "it might be tempting to scare them or grab them by the neck" I'm sorry but if you feel these urges you maybe should not be a cat owner
Yeah I gasped because they can’t be two? The funniest lil pup 🐶

Just like how you want your parents to love you, you should love your pets unconditionally. Expect some accidents in the home, perhaps a few pieces of furniture destroyed and expensive vet bills from time to time. But if you truly love them and view them as a member of the family, you’ll always understand that they didn’t mean to upset you. They usually want love and affection just as much as we do.

Every single one of them will end up with progressive arthritis (sometimes starting as early as 3 or 4 years of age) and many end up with other severe painful degenerative joint diseases. The breed is banned in some countries and some registries want to stop breeding them altogether. Every single Scottish Fold will end up with progressive, painful arthritis.

Your dealing with a beautiful void, which stares back into your soul
Oh gosh, yes. He’s not a void (nothing against voids) but the 3am snuggle time causes a second or two of grouchy “don’t wake me up!” until I remember that I’ve had him since he was 6 weeks old and now he’s 14 years. There will come a time when I would give anything to be woken up at 3am for snuggles. So we snuggle and I’m grateful that he’s still here to wake me up.
My cat Smokey would snuggle against my leg until 4 am every morning and then get up and guard the front door until the sun came up. She would just sit there staring at the door like the devil was outside and she would defeat if necessary
I think this is the same kitty that was in this thread previously. The kitten was wearing a blue triangle hate, like for birthday parties and I think it was on this same countertop but just from a different angle.
Tiiiiiîiiiiînnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnyyyyyyyyy kitty kitty kitty awwwwwww😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻
He might have been a little frustrated at you, in the baby picture!
Our cat looked just like that. She recently made her last trip to the vet. We're still sad, but remember how sweet she was.
So sorry. I had that with a tuxedo cat in a previous post here. I know the feeling.

Maple is getting revenge for the cone of shame when she misbehaves.
And probably old enough to not need puppy pads. Seems like someone needs more walkies
Load More Replies...Why would a dog, who doesn't appear to be a puppy, still need to use puppy training pads??
Puppy pads are not just for puppies. I used them when caring for an older dog and cats due to their incontinence. They also may be at home while the owner works. Remember too that dogs, young, old, can get bored so they do do these things such as ripping things up, you turn your back for half an hour while doing other things and come back into the room to mayhem!
I've always wanted a Bernese mountain dog. They are so beautiful. I had a book called "Legacy of the Dog" when I was 10 and just pored over it but this was always my favorite breed. Beautiful

How could anyone get upset with such a gorgeous creature? Born beautiful, stayed that way!
Not cute. Not healthy. Not normal. Brachycephalic dogs have tons of health issues. Most brachycephalic dogs can't even give birth normally and have to have the puppies removed by caesarean section. It's NOT cute.
Load More Replies...Yes but look at that smol-and-grompy lil face 🥰
Load More Replies...Please stop cropping dogs ears and tails for no good reason. Unless they are working dogs who potentially are going to fight wolves and coyotes; you can't really justify doing this.
Even then there's no reason for cropping ears and docking tails.

Finally a good social media trend. This was a lovely list, thank you!
I would have clicked on this sooner if I knew they'd be showing pet babies!
I do discipline my pups’ misbehavior, but could and would never harm them. I always remind them that I will always love them even when I dislike their behavior!
Positive reinforcement is the best way to go
