Sarah C. Anderson, a 24-year-old living in Brooklyn, NY, creates comics about our everyday lives. Her ongoing web-comic “Sarah's Scribbles” covers a lot of the struggles a modern woman faces, including Mother's Nature's "greatest gift" - periods.
Here at Bored Panda, where two thirds of the staff are women, we understand the struggle too well. So we collected all of Sarah's comics about periods to give you something to laugh (or cry) at during these hard days of the month. For all the guys reading this, just be sure to bring your girl mountains of chocolate and put on a romantic movie or two, we're sure they'll love you for it.

all of it is real. What are you talking about? When I had my period I was never regular and I could get it at any time. In the middle of the night I would wake up because the cramps were so bad. Huge migraines before and during, and bad PMS. Please, it's not a question of believing or not people, these are real symptoms but some women don't have them. Happy for these women.
This is why you don't wear your cute stuff when the monster is en route... gotta wear those period panties.
I've bought more than one pregnancy test cause mother nature is bad with directions lol
This is what granny panties are for not like anyone's gonna see em
I can't tell if it feels like the world is burning for her, or if she wants the world to burnXD
What is getting ur period like? I haven't gotten mine, yet. Not even puberty, and I'm 10.
It's different for each person, so nobody can tell you precisely. I got mine when I was 12, I think. And it was no big deal because I have three elder sisters, so I was prepared. It's just that someday you go to the bathroom to urinate, but you spot the blood stain on your underwear. Nothing, just change your underwear and wear an absorbent pad for the start. As for the rest, I think your mother, sister, aunt, or any other available woman in your family will tell you better. If not, maybe you can ask your teacher (if you have any that you feel comfortable talking with).
