This time is the time of Game of Thrones, as hundreds of tweets, memes, and excited fans' reactions show. One simply cannot deny the global influence the Thrones phenomenon has, especially with the final season of the HBO series is rolling out every weekend. And while perhaps the fandom that dominates the social media sites after every Sunday might seem annoying to some, there is only one thing more irritating than someone being overtly passionate about something they like. It's the people who are overtly proud of something they dislike.
As hundreds of posts about Game of Thrones roll out daily in every corner of social media, more and more people boast about not watching the popular show in the comments. Perhaps thinking that it makes them special, those people wear that fact like a badge of honor. And while there are some who approve of their message, the TV series fans find it more or less irritating. That's why sooner or later they expressed their feelings on Twitter, banding together with their funny roasts to say what they really think.
Scroll down below to see what they had to say and the best roasts they've delivered, and don't forget to tell us what you think whether you are a Game of Thrones fan or not.

Sometimes, you just don't watch GOT, not because you want the other peoples to know, but simply because you don't watch it, that's all.
Am I the only one who thinks the question mark looks weird? Just me...?
I only watched one scene that had Emilia Clarke in it. I think you know which one
At the same way nobody cares that you watch game of thrones. People that do not watch it don't go around talking about it, unlike people who watch it that constantly have to remind everyone about it.
"Did you see GoT? OMG, Did you see GoT! YOu have to have seen GoT! GoT! Huh, what about GoT! What did you think, huh! GoT is so cool! Did you see GoT?" "I don't watch GoT." "Nobody cares!!!!"
So it is okay for people and the media to talk about it nonstop but if anyone says they don't watch it and don't care they are the problem and boring?
Here's the thing, it's FINE to not watch it, no one is going to kill you as a result, but the people who like to brag that they don't do a trendy thing get on everyone's nerves most of the time.
Load More Replies...Funny how media & internet can s**t their self over a new game of thrones season but when someone says the don't watch it you get this???
Exactly. I watched one season but had read the books and got bored (always knowing what was going to happen). I do not tell people I don't/didn't watch it unless they ask - ( or there is a ridiculous BP post). The reaction is always over the top!! So weird.
Load More Replies...My co-worker asked me if i watch game of thrones and i answered no and she overreacted how could i not watch the show.
Sounds much more like reality (and that's me saig it as a former watcher)
Load More Replies...Yes, why do we have to be divided because of a TV series? It's not like we are better or worse if we watch or don't watch GoT.
Load More Replies...I feel like the complete opposite is true. People who watch GoT feel some type of way.
the people who watch GOT think they are so illumiunated, like they know the secret meaning of life now XD aahahahah get a grip with reality please... who in their right mind is going to take seriously a show about dragons whose mother is a hot blond chick? please give me more methaporas how got is just as accurate as the real life XD
Load More Replies...Meh. I'm not proud that I don't watch it.....I don't watch it because (a) I'm too much of a cheap a*s to get HBO and (b) I'm ridiculously sensitive to rape and torture scenes -- of which I hear there are many. So, I don't watch it. Do I get tired of all the hype? Sometimes.....but mostly I enjoy looking at the memes and I kind of feel like I'm watching a PG version of it by reading them. :p
No, I never saw it either. Didn't interest me. But I can't say that hey because the ones who watch react like I'm an a*****e.
Load More Replies...Looks like we're reaching a society where everyone's supposed to be taking sides. If you're not Pro-GoT you must be against it. And it's annoying as hell. There are things where I would die for, but there are also things that are so insignificant that it's not even worth thinking about. Watching tv-series is one of them.
I don't mind if you don't watch "Game of Thrones" ... there are a lot of popular shows that I skip out on, too ... I will simply say I don't watch them without having to preface it with "am I the only one that doesn't watch [insert popular show that others think I should be watching]" ... simply saying you don't watch is no reason for ridicule ... acting like you're a unicorn is reason enough ...
I don't watch it because I could not handle the violent graphic scenes
got is just a modern soap opera, nothing more XD people are free to dislike soap operas...
I haven't seen the show, but I will hazard to guess that the lighting and acting are somewhat better than a soap opera.
Load More Replies...It's like Love Island. I spend my whole time trying to avoid the inevitable conversations of who shagged who, what happened next, etc. It's EVERYWHERE and you know what? It gets tedious. And I find myself shut out of conversations and treated like a pariah for not watching it, with comments like "How can you NOT watch it?" and "What is WRONG with you?" These people even did a group chat at work so they could harp on about it. And not content with that, they have the gall to call out those who don't watch it as attention-seekers. No, we're just bored of the hysteria around it and are trying to change the subject.
I think that the "don't watch GoT" crowd got the last laugh after that s****y last season
The ironic thing is that many of the nonwatchers’ responses to these so-called “roasts” are better than the “roasts”. Just goes to show how how unaware GOT fans are to their own inability to STFU about GOT while being exquisitely sensitive to any comments made by people who are tired of hearing about this show nonstop. “OMG, what did you think about Game of Thrones last night?!?!?!” “I don’t watch it.” “WHAT?!?!? HOW CAN YOU NOT WATCH GAME OF THRONES?!?!? IT’S THE BEST SHOW EVARRRRR!!!!!” [proceeds to frantically try to recap the entire series to uninterested person]
No one cares if you watch it, no one cares if there's new episodes, no one cares about GOT but stop nagging me about it!
My brother tried to get me into Game of Thrones, but I'm not into series that revolve around death. I'm almost painfully empathetic, and they make me feel horrible. I tried reading the first book. Couldn't get past the first few chapters... The wife of some dude being all; OH GOD, I HOPE HIS SEED TAKES HOLD IN ME was... uh, wtf. But the completely unnecessary detail about how they anointed the genitals of a 13-year old CHILD as she was about to be married off, and how her brother wanted to sleep with her... GROSS. That right there told me everything I needed to know about the author to stay well away from that series. On top of all the death. And rape and torture scenes. But, hey, those who enjoy it, knock yourselves out, find joy in it. To each their own. Just maybe understand where I'm coming from when I say I don't like it and kinda wish the hype would die down a bit?
I don't get it. So, when people around me talk a lot about something and suddenly they all turn to stare at me - it's clearly expected I have to say something. I'm forced to say something and I reply I genuinely dislike it, I don't give a damn, know nothing bout it - so, I am the asshole to be honest? How is this a thing?
Heres how most of my GOT conversations went. GOT fan: "Did you catch last nights GOT" Me: No I dont watch GOT. GOT fan: What the hell is wrong with you? Its the best show ever. Me: ... GOT fan: Get yourself a life and go watch it. Its so good. Me: Sorry I'm too busy living my life to get a life.
1 person: I don't watch GOT. 50 GOT FANS: NO ONE CARES OH MY GOSH I AM GOING TO POST THIS OUTRAGE ON FACEBOOK moral of story: complaining about the people who say they don't watch got is the opposite of the solution to this problem. so please, stop.
I yell more about not having cable than not watching Contest of Big Fancy Ornate Chairs...
I definatly would watch game of thrones but It confused me last time
Clearly there is no more substantive matters to discuss about so people started to fuss about this. Anyway, what happens here is quite the opposite. Some people make a conversation that contains targayen, khal drogo, jon snow etc. to make them look cool and up to date. Of course I have to google it to know what they were talked about lol. But then I watched a program called "GoT: stories so far", still not interested to watch the series though. It is full of disturbing scene presented by mentally ill characters. But I don't announce myself as a non-watcher because I don't see the importance. Like many of fans said here: nobody cares.
I had a co-worker ask why I don;t watch GoT b/c it's great, this, that and every other thing and I simply said I do not have HBO........... IMO, someone watches GoT, cool, knock yourself out, otherwise, it's also not my thing - saying that, I hope I'll be allowed the live out the rest of the day..........
never once heard someone go "i dont watch game of thrones" except for those telling someone going on and on about GOT that they legit have never seen it. I literally can't watch it because im a sex repulsed ace and cant even stand to see people naked.
I believe a really popular TV series. I don't know much about, but I think it may be a fantasy/adventure show...? I honestly don't know 😅
Load More Replies...I cant watch it because im sensitive to certain things in the show and It really doesn't seem interesting to me
Did anybody consider maybe Spoilers and that's why people point out they havnt watched it? Not everybody has paid to watch all the seasons yet.
Smex, violence and politics...sums up GoT for me. Still wouldn't watch it.
My dad always watches GOT, and I only know the name of the show because I hear him talk about it. He doesn't tell me anything else about the show and doesn't let me watch. I once told a classmate I didn't know what GOT was and asked them to tell me because they were talking about it and I never watched it before, so I wanted to know what the show was about. They yelled at me for attention seeking. Is not knowing really that bad?
Can we get rid of this already? It's been like a year of it being old news.....
My sister was an avid "Game of Thrones" fan and asked me why I didn't watch it. I explained to her that I was familiar with Martin's work and just wasn't a fan. She pressed and I explained how his works always seemed to end up. This was during Season 3 if I remember right. After the fi Al season she called to ask, "How did you know?" ... ... ... Now, for some reason, I have the urge to watch it.
I have not seen any single episode. For once it's not a genre I like but mostly because none of these 4 streaming services I have access to, offers it. I'm not announcing it everywhere unless it somehow comes as topic in a discussion.
People are allowed to have different interests. If someone watches GoT and you don't, there's no reason to tell them unless they ask. However, criticizing someone for voicing their opinion isn't wise either; Don't critizice people for telling you they're not interested or haven't tried something you like. People should be able to voice their opinion without feeling like they are stepping on eggshells.
I like to play video games, read books, or go out and things with friends/family, and watch TV/Movies. As a result I only have a couple hours a week free to watch TV... and with an endless number of interesting shows out there, it is impossible to watch all of them, or even a fraction of them. GOT isn't on the list. Not because I have a problem with it. I don't think I'm special for not seeing it... it likely on the "top 5% of shows that would interest me"... but considering there are so many shows available now, the top 5% is still dozens upon dozens of titles. But, in appreciation of this actual thread, I have never actually made a point of telling anyone that I don't watch the show (until now with this post)
I don't really see the point of talking about what I don't watch or read or listen to or do or whatever. Like I mean there are situations where it makes sense (e.g. if you are prone to panic attacks and sensitive to certain subjects/genres or whatever. Or if it would cause you to be left out of a c
Conversation* or something) but like mostly why not focus on finding common ground???
