We all have weird quirks that are fairly uncommon, to say the least. For the fear of being judged, we keep these weird things to ourselves; however, that doesn't stop us from being curious about what others have to hide.

So, to indulge in this secret knowledge, X (formerly Twitter) user @drakesbrother started a thread asking people to share their bad habits, weird confessions, and interesting things they do. The thread was quickly flooded with the strangest habits.

Turns out, lots of us have funny habits that make perfect sense to us but might seem odd to others. Something like when someone has to read the last page of a book before they can start it from the beginning. One thing’s clear: what seems like quirky habits to some of us is just another day in the office for others.

Some confessed to measuring how long something will take in songs, others said that each time they get in their car, they make sure no one is sitting in the back seat. While some of these weird things to do sound a little bit odd, let’s not pretend you don't relate.

Scroll below for the list of confessions from regularly weird people, and don't forget to share your own strange habits in the comments.

This is incredibly common. Everyone does this, actually. Intrusive thoughts. I tend to think “how much can I key this car”.

I think the border between sane and insane is merely to put such thoughts to action. Having them is normal, if not even creative.

this is related to the so called "call of the void" where you're like "what if i just jumped off this bridge right now"

this is a physiological phenomenon called cognitive dissonance, and it has to do with your brain having to deal with ambiguity. known less formally as the high place effect(this is more commonly used to explain why people get the urge to jump off cliffs) explains that when your survival instincts just sort of shut off, also known as anti-survival

Mine is when I'm on a long car trip and I think to myself "I wonder what would happen if I just jerk the wheel to the right as hard and as fast as I can while going 80 MPH"

Same! Not with babies, but when I am driving I wonder what would happen if I just let go of the wheel.

Exactly. I'm doing like 120 km/h and sometimes can't shake off the feeling of: "Like if I just moved my hands slightly to the right I could kill us all." Can't say I like the feeling...

I have crazy irrational thoughts like that too, like in a work meeting i might think "what if i just threw my coffee at someones head right now",, speeding along in a car and i will think "imagine i just opened the door now" it's odd but i totally get this.

There is a phrase for this: 'L'appel du vide'. 'The call of the void'. They use it for the impulse to jump when on a high place, but it can be used for the impulse to do any strange/destructive thing.

I have these thoughts as well, it just seems so easy to do something in a second or a few seconds with life-time consequencies. And I have the thoughts what would happen if I just put my hand in fire or walk from the audience to a famous person during the interview or just black out in the audience.

Obsessive compulsive disorder is "responding" to these thoughts, either trying to dispel them, or reassuring yourself somehow that you're "good". This leads to completing physical or mental rituals. This comes from having a fundamental conflict with yourself, non acceptance etc. Source: obsessive compulsive sufferer.

I know exactly what you mean. Like someone else said, it's like getting a weird urge to jump from a high place - it's not like you actually want to, but your mind likes to play out the worst outcomes of situations as a primal survival technique. I still don't like these weird thoughts, but at least I know I'm not crazy lol

OMG. I can TOTALLY relate. My whole life is like Ally McBeal (who's old enough to remember it?) where I behave perfectly appropriately whilst imagining completely random behaviour. The most routine vision is sitting through an excruciatingly dull (normal) business meeting only to then leap onto the board room table, make animal noises and kick everyone's paperwork and laptops off, before running out of the room OR, sitting back down and acting as though nothing happened. Hmmmm. Maybe shouldn't admit to that.

Call me boring I head deamons on things not "clearly killing others",also I cannot wrap around it. I have strong thoughtsand disbelieves in myself, others have to figure out by themselves. Even if I keep question why they are alive. Don't get me wrong, I also hate everybody's else kid and annoying grannies, but there are limits to everything. Even stretch has it's limits
