There’s always something people have demonized. First it was fat, then it was food additives, and lately it has become sugar. But things people see as evil don't end with our diet.
Other commonly disregarded stuff may have to do with music, like the controversial band known as Nickelback or going to psychological therapy, or not liking animals like rats, tarantulas, and snakes.
We rarely reflect on why specific things cause us such adverse emotions, so this viral thread may give us some perspective. The simple yet thought-provoking question “What doesn't need the hate it gets?” was asked by Redditor u/Alexdoesthedo, and it has clearly produced some very illuminating responses.

The rain. Rain is f**king awesome. It feeds all the plantlife, makes puddles, and my personal favourite, at night time the rain reflects light and makes even traffic lights look f**king amazing. Jesus I love rain.
Atheists. Most of us are nice, sensible good people just like you, we just happen to have different views on religion. Just like any religion, of course there are extremists that give the group a bad name, and the rest of us look down on them and don't support how they act.
Pineapple on pizza. It’s delicious, and if you hate it don’t s**t on people who like it.
Reading.
Even those who read scoff at what others read and it's not necessary.
Reading overall is good for the brain and memory. Comic books, magazines about cars or fishing, romance novels, old classics, it's all reading.
There's no need to feel shame or shame someone for what they read.
Enjoying cartoons as an adult.
Good content is good content and looking back at the cartoons I loved now and then. I do have superior tastes.
Child please. I'm approaching retirement age and I never stopped watching cartoons.
Therapy. It's never a bad thing but I definitely still know people who are firmly against or see it as a sign of weakness.
People who want to live a basic, "normal" or "boring" life. From all generations, I am constantly hearing locals/normies being made fun of for not wanting a ~fancier~ lifestyle but like... Why does that matter? Besides, just having a roof overhead is luxurious to to some people. Let others live the lives they want to.
Rats. They're some of the funniest, most affectionate and intelligent small pets, with a ton of personality, who actually enjoy engaging with people.
They get a terrible reputation for carrying disease or being aggressive- which is just not true for domestic rats. Growing up I had almost every common pet rodent you can think of, and hands down I'd pick a rat over a hamster any day.
Cats. Many people I know absolutely despise them because they think they cant love you the way some dogs can, or they remind you of the stereotype "crazy cat person" or the whole "they're all aggressive/bitey/scratchy" thing. Once I had both dogs and cats (and reptiles!) in my house - and though I love both, cats tended to speak a little louder to me. I'm part of a TNR company and ended up raising one of the cats I caught while searching for my missing cat last month and realized how sweet they can be if you take the time to earn their trust and give them space when it's asked for.
I've said it before, I'll say it again- people who say cats are mean are often the mean ones. Between them and the cats, the cats are far kinder.
I have Schziophrenia, and my cats, if they see that I am alone and having a moment where I'm freaking out, it's like they know to come and be by my side, meowing at me, and nudging against me for attention etc, as if they know that it will snap me out of it, and honestly? A lot of the time it does. Most humans wouldn't do that if they saw someone having an attack like that in the street, I can say that for certain.
Load More Replies...People that “hate” cats are red flags, in fact anyone that says they “hate” an animal (that’s never down anything to them) are red flags. How can you hate an animal? You don’t like cats as you don’t want to be called the crazy cat lady so technically you are more worried what others think of you that the cat itself? Cats are incredibly intelligent, affectionate, furry babies, I’ve known the love of 6 cats so far in my life (since childhood) & some of them I treasure more than my human family relationships.
usually people that hate cats are control freaks. you cant make a cat do what you want so thats why they usually hate them. if i meet someone that says they absolutely hate cats, well then i won,t be meeting that person again. how u can hate any animal is beyond me--unless of course u fear them because of a past experience which is understandable
I do find it disturbing how 'anti cat' the internet has become. Even the jokes about them play into incorrect stereotypes. Cats are really curious and interested in things and love to hang out and see what people are getting up to. They're lovely restful company. But they aren't dogs, and I think dog people that dislike cats just try and treat them as dogs and then get annoyed that they don't respond in the same way. When a cat exposes its belly it means one of two things, either 'I trust you not to take advantage' or it means 'c'mon, let's play fighty'. It doesn't mean 'I want a rub'. Then the person rubs their tummy and when they get their hand grabbed and bitten their thought process is 'well, that just proves cats are a.r.s.e. holes, luring me and then attacking me'.
Yeah, the whole "exposed belly is a trap to bite you!" stereotype is really annoying. People seriously think cats are doing that as some sort of sinister joke. Like... it's a cat. It doesn't think like that.

I have 6 cats. It's not extreme at all. I'm sick of people hating cats. They just don't understand them. Not one of my cats scrached or bitten anyone ever.

People who are really vocal about hating cats, in my experience, are usually pieces of s**t themselves
My big floof boi strolls into the driveway every time the car pulls up
Beware of people who say"I'm not a cat person I am a dog person" They are telling you right away the type of character they have. They feel the need to be in control and cats won't let them do that. Of course I'm not saying all dog owners are like that but I bet you can look at a dog person and pick up the controlling behavior in their day to day lives.
No need to make such sweeping generalizations. I more often hear cat people saying that they hate dogs and not the other way around especially on the internet tbh. I am solidly a dog person and not because I like to "control" my dog and I don't like being around people who are like that with any animal. Super controlling people usually don't have pets cause animals don't always listen. Never dated a control freak that actually had any mammalian pets just reptiles.
Load More Replies...People will say they hate cats because they had a bad experience with one. Sure, there's the odd cat who is miserable and will scratch on a whim. There are people like that, too. There are totally loving cats who hate to be away from you. There are people like that, too. Cats' personalities are as different as a human personalities. Sure, there are basic things about cat behaviour, like there are basic things about human behaviour. Every single cat is different - just like people. To hate an animal just for being an animal makes for a not-so-nice human.
My son and his cat, that we had literally just brought in from the parking lot of our apartment complex. These two are now almost inseparable. Yeah, that cat don't love the boy at all /s AJ-Finn-60...48910c.jpg
Ahhh, it looks suspiciously like a velcro cat. I know mine is. Always where I am at all times (except for his potty breaks and eating). And cats can also choose their human. Last year I decided to get my elderly cat a companion. Fully expected it to come to me for love and affection. Nope! It chose my son and you can tell it's his cat. I'm ok with that. Cats are totally their own animal. Both animals get along great.
Load More Replies...Every cat has its own personality. We have a super sweet, cutie at home. I also fell in love with one that was a total diva. She will come to you if she chooses to and if you touch her more than whatever she wants at that moment she was done with you
I love cats! They are wonderful, awesome, and well, my favorite animal! The only sad thing, is I can't get a cat. Living with my parents, so landlord said no pets, mom is allergic, and dad hates animals. So, no cats. Oh well, when I move out, I can get a cat. But really, cats are sweet, caring animals. They are so cool.
Ugh yes! I hate it when people think cats just don’t love you, they do. It’s just a different kind of love than a dog would show you. Personally, I like cats better than dogs. Downvote all you want, but that’s my opinion.
I think its because we tend to anthropomorphize the animal and its behaviour. A cats eyes and body language seems rather cold and distant compared to a dogs.
A cat loves you on it's own terms, a dog loves you unconditionally and slightly needy. Compare and contrast the typical animal reaction to you leaving the house and arriving home. (That's not to say cats dont suffer from separation anxiety, but it's not the norm). In my experience, people who hate cats tend to be the one who want to control the pet they own, rather than having a loving companion (again this is not all "dog people", just the ones who actively *hate* cats)
Load More Replies...I honestly like dogs better, but each to his own, people! You can have hippos as your favorite animals for all I care! Everyone is allowed to have an opinion!
Say that to me because as I speak, all 3 of my cats are near or sleeping ON me! Purring away. My kitten (well, a year old now) won't let me go anywhere in the house without her. My cats (and cats in general) are awesome!
I once asked a guy why he prefer dogs to cats, and he replied “cause a dog do as its told”. Says a lot about some people. For the record I love both cats and dogs. Awesome in their own way.
I've ranted on here before about the whole 'I'm not a cat person, but....' thing. No one cares about your dislike of cats. You don't have to state your dislike for an animal any time anyone mentions one or sees one or comments on how cute it is. You can comment on a cute animal pic and move on, without making it about you. This goes for the 'I'm not a dog person, but' crowd too, though they are pretty rare in my experience. It's always the people that are 'not that into' cats that seem to think you give a sh!t about their preferences.
My cat loves me more than my dog does. I dont get how so many other people's cats dont seem to love them according to them. Idk what i did right
I was asked once why I do not like dogs. That really throw me off. Like yeah I am a cat person, but I love big, fluffy dogs.
I love both cats and dogs and I've had both, but I have to say I have never had a dog as loving and attentive as my cats. Cats take some time to warm up to you, but once they do and feel trust with you, they're incredibly affectionate.
I have three cats and spoil them like my children. I don't trust anyone who says they don't like cats....or dogs!
Every time I see a video where a cat is attacking/panicking/using is claws/biting etc., the comments are alway full with "omg cats are such assholes!!!". Meanwhile the human in the video is clearly doing something that makes the cat act that way. Makes me sick. No, the cat is not trying to ruin you life on purpose or doing it to piss you off. You just don't know how cats work and can't communicate with them.
True, I always wonder why people don't get that if you're gonna act stupid and annoy a cat, they will reciprocate.. besides, i've observed that they usually "fire a warning shot across the bow" so to speak, before an all out attack.
Load More Replies...I always hated cats, I thought they were the grumpiest, most vicious creatures. I dated two separate people who had cats and both cats would attack me with their claws or bite me. Then I met the dude I'm with now and his two cats. They're the sweetest, most loving little things with tons of personality. They're brother and sister and they're the best. The boy cat has become mine as he won't leave me alone and ALWAYS wants cuddles and is constantly rubbing his face on mine. In face, as I write this, they're both lying on me fast asleep. All other cats can do one :-) but my cats rule.
Reading this with my cat on my lap while having my morning coffee (while she bumps her head over and over again against my hand). They're awesome.
I like cats, but I’m allergic, so they are forbidden in my home. When visiting friends and family with cats, I will play with them when they come around for love. I just have to run for the sink to wash the dander off before it closes up my throat. Still like them though. Affectionate little buggers
You should look into Hypoallergenic cats, like the Siberian. My friend, who suffers just like you, has two and has no issues. They are the absolute sweetest goofballs. Super talkative and will always be where you are. Right before the pandemic, Leap Day, I decided to adopt an adult Siberian. He's, shockingly, waaay more affectionate and attentive than my dog. Got me through the lockdown with all his love and cuddles.
Load More Replies...Hating cats (and dogs) is usually not about the animal itself. It's about the bosses, who do not control their pets, so the pet becomes a nuisance to other people. And they become very selfish about it when they expect other people to tolerate their pets behaviour. They expect other people to tolerate the cat turd in their own gardens, wich can have negative health impact for children playing in the garden. They expect people to tolerate the dog turd in front of their own house and step on it when it's dark. They expect other people to tolerate when a loose dog is not under appeal and jumps on them, because "oh he is just playing". Some people just do not want to get jumped on, maybe because they have a dog-trauma. It's about the pet owner doesn't take other people, mostly neighbours, into account.
Being 'cat people' and 'dog people' isn't a bad thing, as it is actually just 'I prefer cats' or 'I prefer dogs'. It becomes bad when cat haters label themselves 'dog people' and then try to convince the cat people cats are bad.
I have six black cats. They are the most affectionate creatures that I have ever met. Never seen a dog that would demand that amount of pets as my cats do. They figure their cat stuff among each other (fights, bites, late night zoomies and biting) and come to humans just for pets and cuddles. And lota of purring. And more cuddles. Each of them is absolutely didferent, have their own personality and quirks, all are huge cuddle bugs. I would never give away any of them. Ppl who don't like cats just never really met some or met misbehaving ones. I know from my experience that cats are only mean if unhappy (not loved, not pet enough, bored, mistreated you name it). Happy cat is an infinite bundle od love. They even wait at the door when I return home. I don't need a dog to do that (though I love dogs too!).
Cats are as loving as any animal. They are just less needy than some dogs.
Cars are my favourite animal. They’re so sweet, and spunky, and clean (they smell so nice!), independent but lovable, and yet still deadly predators to all things pesky. What’s not to love?
I’ve never owned a cat personally, but every cat I’ve ever meet was so super sweet.
So here's a question we used to debate at work a lot (mindless job....): What is the minimum number of cats you have to live with to achieve the status of crazy cat lady/person? Those of us who aspired to the goal tended to require fewer cats........
I'm a general pet loving person. I wonder if non-cat people have any idea how clever and sweet they can be. All of them are different. We've had cats that opened doors (not latched doors although I've known of cats that did that), followed us around just like dogs will, loved playing and would even take part in a version of hide and seek in the yard (we'd race behind a tree and peek out, then back behind the tree and peek out again. The cat would charge over to the tree and run up the trunk around to us). We had a cat that would walk through a party of 20 or more people only to find the single person afraid of cats and jump in their lap. We have had cats that you could do anything to and they were content to put up with us.
I loooove cats, but honestly I just wish they didn't want to kill so much. I get it that it is "instinctual" but I wish it was if they only were starving and needed to "instinctually hunt for food" . I also love to watch the birds outside and the momma's feeding the babies. Then they show up dead at my door......
Anybody who is under the impression that cats are hated has evidently never spent any time on the internet.
I think a lot of the problem is that people often spend a huge amount of time with a puppy, training it, domesticating it, socialising it. Then they get kittens, play with them by dangling their fingers in front of them (practically training them to scratch hands when they are grown) then they pretty much leave them to their own devices. I have a cat who has always been with me all the time (I work from home) and I spend as much time with him as most dog owners spend with their dogs and he is extremely affectionate, never scratches or attacks me (I can even give him a tummy rub). He is really bright, knows what all sorts of words mean (even fetch your mouse). So I think a lot of the issues people have with cats are because they have had a bad experience with a poorly domesticated and untrained kitty... a bit ferel. If you didn't socialise or train a dog and left him to his own devices he would probably be pretty vicious too.
Same here I LOVE cats and have had any in my life so far. Here is Mimi my cat now and for nearly 5 years from being a kitten. Mimi-up-to...7a1794.jpg
Cats can sense when someone is an asshole.....and those people are usually the loudest ones claiming cats are awful
Cats own you and if they don't like someone they usually have a good reason.
I have 6 rescue cats and they are all the most lovable creatures I have ever known, each with their own unique personality, each speaks in their own way and each take turns to give lots of loves and cuddles.
people judge cats b/c they aren't dogs. those people are idiots. that's like being mad a giraffe is not a lemur and isn't lemur-like.
I like cats better then dogs. They seem more like me, easy going and somewhat moody.
I had a cat and a dog and they were both wonderful in different ways. Sadly our cat passed away, but cats are seriously just as loving and silly as dogs.
I adore cats, have 2 of them, and they make me laugh, cry and bring me love every day. Heavenly creatures
Absolutely. Cats are highly intelligent, sensitive and prone to taking care of their people when they are sick or down. Mine greet me at the door, follow me around, cuddle , snuggle, play and, on occasion, worry about me (esp when my lungs act up). Our youngest even tried to take care of someone crying on the television!
I used to hate cats for these reasons, but then I realized that not all cats are nasty like people think. Of course there are some super mean ones, but there are more sweethearts that do love their owner and just don't make it as obvious.
I think some folks just don't understand cats, especially if they've never lived with one (or bonded with a friend's). Not every pet type is right for every person and that's ok. I like that our fur baby (cat) is sometimes a cuddle bug and sometimes just wants her space, I'm the same way.
some people have a real irrational hatred of cats, i never understood it (frankly its kinda gross)
The ONLY "problem" I have with cats is that they're such apex predators, they've caused the extinction of ~33+ species (that we know of.)
My cat comes running to the door meowing when I get home and weaves all around my feet. She misses me when I'm gone just as much as a dog would.
I trust my cats' opinions of people more than a dog's, sometimes. Cats are not dogs, but mine act like they are... they come when called, sit for treats, act as a dependable alarm clock, love to cuddle and play, play fetch without training, and greet me at the door when I come home. How is any of that a bad thing?
I have 3 big cats and they are the most loyal trusting creatures with so much love for you and need to make you feel safe always that I'm overwhelmed all the time and they chat with us for hours when they come inside the house and its like they are telling us what happened while outside. What a blessing to be special to them all.
I think it has a lot to do with their personality. I love my cat Elvis like my son, I never thought a cat could be so loving and so social based on my experience with my moms cats. And he loves belly rubs and just cuddling in general. He comes to greet me at the door when I get home. When I look at other people with their pets no matter what kind of animal it is, I just think "that's their Elvis".
People keep saying cats are spotlessly clean. Yes they might poop in a litter box then cover it by scratching the litter over their poop , then they jump up all over work surfaces and food prep surfaces with all that crud on their paws. Fair enough not all cats do this but I've seen it happen numerous times
i don't hate cats, I love them but just a little scared (idk why) but for sure don't the, they look cute. When I was small someone told me a story where a cat killed a human, idk who did. I know they dont kill but I am scared
I won't ever have a cat even though I like other people's cats. Growing up we had one and if you ever made him mad he'd find your stuff and pee on it. No matter what method you use to clean it up the smell lingers forever. You will probably have to wait for the next humid day, but it's there.
growing up in rural michigan, i knew guys who bragged about torturing cats. and no they weren't joking. something really lacking in folks like that...
Why has this been down voted, it is not a bad thing

my dad hates cats because he's allergic. i think he's still weird, because it's not the cat's fault he's allergic.
There's a feral tomcat that has been hanging around my house for months. Wouldn't let me come within 20 feet of him. As I sat on my porch steps the other day, he got close enough to sniff my fingers, decided I was okay, and let me pet him. Now we're buddies.
People who don't like cats are people with low self esteem who need followers and not pets or friends.
My wife didn't want animals. However, life has its own ideas. It was raining cats and dogs one night. We woke up to find one on the back porch. We've recused several more from animal shelters. My wife has said many times "I never knew I could love a cat so much."
"Those who hate cats will return in the next life as mice"- cant remember who quoted it. Cats are magical.
Our grumpuss is very aloof and doesn't like strangers but if you're sick or feeling down he will sit or lay by your side until you feel better, even does it with house guests.
My cat clearly loves me best but is friendly to everyone she meets and doesn't have an aggressive bone in her body, except if you're a mouse or a bug. Cats are individuals. I've never met two with the same personality.
I have both, a dog and two cats, and I love them to death. My home wouldn't be the same without them.
yeah, a lot of people I know think of them as dirty, when they're way more hygienic than dogs. I like dogs, but they're usually smelly and messier than any cat. Or they always come up with the excuse of "I'm allergic to them" when they haven't even had one in their entire lives
I used to hate cats but as I got older I realised my hate was displaced. I dislike many cat owners. The ones that let their cats roam the streets, don't desex their cats etc and people who let cats walk all over their kitchen benches, it's absolutely disgusting. I like cats but am allergic to them so I don't touch them.
Cats are like a bad, poorly behaved, selfish and arrogant person. No thanks.
Cats are killers, every year they kill billions of small mammals and birds. They have caused the extinction of at least 30 different species. I don't hate cats, but I am aware of the damage they do to local ecologies. I'd never have a cat.
Yeah I'm pretty sure ur doing this for attention

Muslims, they are really misunderstood everywhere.
I'm in favor of practicing any religion you like, but Islam is one of the most intolerant religions to ever exist. There is no Muslim-majority country where being gay isn't hazardous to your health. There isn't a muslim-majority country that isn't a hellhole in regards to women's rights. Islam is incompatible with liberalism, the same way 14th century Catholicism is incompatible with liberalism. If you want to follow Islam, as a liberal I say you do you, but don't expect me to turn a blind eye to the religion's social problems.
Homeless people. Austin, TX just reinstated a ban on public camping/sitting/laying down, with zero allocation for actually helping the homeless population.
Sharks. They're just a well designed killing machine and the chances of them killing you are super low. Orcas and dolphins are actually "meaner" if you want to look at them in a human way, they'll purposely mess with you or hurt you. Sharks might just bite you on accident.
Hyenas. Most unfairly villainized and maligned animal in the world all because of some stupid Disney movie. They are not scavengers at all they hunt 90% of their prey and lions steal food off of them far more than they steal off lions. They are highly intelligent predators with an equally important role to play in the ecosystem.

Nickleback - I'm not a fan, but it's just kind of generic rock music that you are in no way forced to listen to.
Billie Eilish. I don't know what it was that made people go "eeeew, BiLlIe EiLiSh" but come on. She's an interesting person and her music is genuinely good. I'm not one for forcing artists on people, I just don't get when a relatively innocuous musician gets that level of hate.
And while I'm at it: Taylor Swift writing about relationships. Just about every artist in existence has either written about their relationships at least once, or usually write about love/relationships, either through experience or generalization. Why is it okay for people like Ed Sheeran, John Mayer, or Ariana Grande to write about their relationships without much uproar, but when Taylor Swift does it? Sheesh.
Body pillows.
There's no law saying you have to put something sexy on it there's plain colored pillowcases for them literally everywhere.

How can people hate body pillows? I have one covered in a plain white sheet and it helped me have the best sleep I've ever had. Honest to god, I recommend everyone to have one.
Veganism. We just don't want innocent animals to get hurt yet we get mocked for it all the time.

Anyone showcasing genuine passion and hobbies on social media.
There are 2 kinds of people. 1 People who do what the hell they enjoy and don's give a s*** what anybody thinks. 2 People who do what they do, and post and share it everywhere. Once it is out there in the public, the public has a right to respond. Be a 1.
Boy bands/ any music where the target audience is teens/young women. people need to stop assuming that anything that is liked by that demographic is stupid.
I don't think people hate boy bands per se. I think they hate the cynical manufacturing of them by music companies. 'OK, so we've got the super handsome one, the goofy one, the sensitive one, the blond one...' 'Can they sing?' 'Sing? who cares?'
Kristen Stewart--she's just socially awkward during interviews! She's a decent actress. People freak out that she's not super emotionally expressive... Some people just aren't!
I think a lot of people hate these things because media and the internet tell them to.
I'll add introverts. It's okay to be an introvert, you don't have to be an extrovert, introverts can be fun, too an it took me years to realize that.
I love my introvert friends! I'm a socially awkward extrovert, but I'm a heck of a lot more outgoing than many of my friends.

I will add: innocently staring at people shouldn't be that bad. We are visual and curious creatures and sometimes we just want to look with wonder or appreciation at someone else, but it's always perceived as creepy/perverted, and unfortunately it often is. I often check out someone's hair, shoes, backpack decals, facial structure, clothes etc. but terrified that I'll be "caught" appreciating their style or something. For this same reason, I never compliment strangers the way that I want to.
Now you need to take into account that the other person doesn't know your thoughts. Many do stare with creepy intentions. And also that no everyone is always waiting for compliments. Having some empathy about that would make it easier to understand how it's not appreciated to stare. Also, what you personally want should never be at the cost of discomfort of another.

All of these that where mentioned just remind me how great it is that people enjoy different things. A lot of things I wouldnt learn or hear about if someone didnt introduce me to it. What a boring world it would be if we were all the same, acted the same and liked the same things. Love and embrace our differences but try not to be an asshole if someone is not like you or likes things you dont.
i know one mineta from mha there is worse perverts yet the get love
Boomers/Millenials/Karens. Particularly on this site. In fact, let's just ban these terms completely and try to see the individuals around us without prejudice.
Just because someone doesn't "embrace" something does not mean they HATE it.
FURRIES ARE MISUNDERSTOOD. NOT ALL FURRIES ARE PERVERTS. NOT ALL FURRIES ARE INTO HEAT. NOT ALL FURRIES ARE LGBTQ. HOW DO I KNOW? IM A FURRY. I HAVE MULTIPLE FRIENDS WHO ARE FURRIES. ALMOST ALL OF THEM ARE STRAIGHT. GET THAT GUNK OUTTA YOU. But if the reason you dont like furries is because you think that kind of stuff is kinda odd and you're just not into it, you're fine, have a nice day.
I will also add: Lilly Singh. Why is she getting all this hate on the internet? She's worked hard for her success, and anyone who is insecure enough about themselves to criticize her humour, doesn't deserve to watch her videos. As long as what you're doing is not hurting anyone it's fine.
I worked as an hourly worker in some chemical plants & refineries... I got a bachelor's degree in humanities... It was so useless that I couldn't get a job selling insurance on commission with it... so I went to work as a workin' man... I was hated everywhere I worked because the workers didn't have any education beyond high school, and they were jealous and offended that I would dare to work in "their plant". They would tell me to my face that I was a fool for working there with a degree. I got tired of telling them that I was making three or four times what I could get with the useless degree...
I got my AA in social science and humnaities becuase after basic training and tech school I only needed 6 classes to finish it. I went on later and got a bachelors and masters degree in computer programming and IT. Most of the AA was the general ed stuff that all degrees require. Not a useless degree.

Load More Replies...You know what should be on this list? People who like signs like "Live, Laugh, Love". I like to think I'm a pretty edgy, cool, artistic, individualistic, and self-made woman. OK, so why do I get made fun of if I want a gd inspirational quote in my home.?! There is nothing "basic" about me. Ya'll are judgmental a-holes. lol
I would add K-Pop, J-Pop, and C-Pop as well! I enjoy this music and I'm teased and judged for being interested in different cultures? Same when I listen to any music in Spanish or French. I'm always judged for listening to different languages and I don't understand why. I showed a friend an English version of a K-Pop song and they SERIOUSLY enjoyed it, but when I showed them the original, they were disgusted that I had "tricked her into listening to that stuff." It makes me really upset that fans are teased and judged for listening to this. It's our musical taste, and no one is asking you to be a fan, so please just respect the fact that WE enjoy this. Thank you.
uhh you see there are no problems when it comes to k-pop its just the fandom has toxic stans :(

Load More Replies...I think a lot of people hate these things because media and the internet tell them to.
I'll add introverts. It's okay to be an introvert, you don't have to be an extrovert, introverts can be fun, too an it took me years to realize that.
I love my introvert friends! I'm a socially awkward extrovert, but I'm a heck of a lot more outgoing than many of my friends.

I love spiders. I prefer they don't sneak up on me but I never kill them. Certain types are put outside, others moved to near a window if I'm not sure if it's a house spider or outside spider 🤷♀️ I'm allergic to mosquito bites so they do me a big favour :)
