Whenever I eat sushi, I pair it with pineapple on the side. It just goes so well. One of my favorite restaurants does this and I always wondered why they gave me a side of pineapple every time I ordered until I tried it. The chef there knows his stuff.

I agree totally. I eat the food I like cooked the way I like it, so yes to Pineapple on Pizza and I have my meat Well Done especially Beef and Steak. I don't try to make people eat things my way nor comment on how or what they eat it. Oh I don't eat eggs however they are cooked but if others like them that is fine by me but never on my plate please.

I went through a phase where I loved pineapple on pizza. For about 3 months I always added it to pizza and loved every bite. Then, for no reason, I no longer liked it. Now anytime I see a pizza with pineapple on it, it is like an ex-girlfriend, we had some good times but we just aren't right for each other anymore.

It is more of a traditionalist view that you just don’t do that. I don’t think there are pizza-supremacist groups, but to many it’s just ‘insulting’ to pizza. It also made me nuts when people in NYC would go to Pizza Hut. Like ketchup on a hot dog or ranch with Buffalo wings. You have the right to do what you want, but if they are done in my presence please believe you will be judged.

I’ve always thought that the anti pineapple thing was such an American take. In New Zealand, and I think also Australia, ham and pineapple is one of the classic types of pizza.
