This Pet Shop Doesn’t Sell Bunnies At Easter
Sad the number of bunnies bought then dumped. All pets are a lifetime commitment, at least the life of the pet.
And baby ducks. Most shelters won't adopt out black cats in October either
Load More Replies...Some people think animals are props to be used and thrown away, or they find out it's actual work to care for them. The same thing happens around Halloween with black cats. Pet bunnies CANNOT survive long in the wild. Cant just let them go. My middle-aged self ran down an abandoned pet bunny at work. We took him in and loved him as he should have been. He passed away a few years ago. I still get weepy thinking about him, and that's the reason I don't ever want another animal to care for.
my family recently found and took in a bunny abandoned in a disgusting park bathroom. she was terrified and just a skeleton, but now shes doing a lot better- shes quite the wild child and just as loving as can be
Load More Replies...As a farmer and owning a farm rabbits are dumped on my property usually a month after Easter, every year, like clockwork. I have a shed set up with lots of their fave veggies and hay to catch a many as I can and turn them over to rescue. Please stop thinking buying a pet for anybody but yourself is a good idea. Children cannot take care of these animals correctly without an adult helping them.
Wow! You have really surprised me! As soon as I read, "I'm a farmer" I assumed you would have shot them. I apologise and thank you for taking care of them.
Load More Replies...Rabbits are amazing pets! I had one as a kid, we treated him like a cat, (we had cats at the time, and had never had a rabbit before.) He came when we called his name, he was toilet trained, (he'd scratch at the door to be let out to poop, and the scratch to come in after he was done.) He'd eat his fresh vegetables in a bowl, when the cat would be eating their dinner right next to him. He snuggled with the cats and slept on our beds. Was devastated when he died. RIP Selby. 🐇
This one is not mildly interesting. It's a really good choice made by the responsible pet store. It is so sad that some clueless people think pets are toys.
My pet store does that, they won't sell bunnies on Easter, and black cats around Halloween.
What most people don't consider is that rabbits are considered an exotic species. They need lots of specialized care including a proper exotic vet. Rabbit care is expensive and takes a lot of time and effort. They dislike being held or cuddles especially by children. They live ten years or so and they're a huge commitment.
Thank you! I've had many pets but the bunnies were the hardest to take care iof. Luckily here in the Netherlands most vets know all about bunnies so that makes it easier at least.
Load More Replies...I love rabbits, never owned any. One of my childhood friends had a couple but they were always kept out in the backyard in a backyard "hutch", so they weren't indoor. I've read up a lot though, so I know so much about them now. They need a good amount of space cordoned off as "theirs", they can be litter box trained but they love being able to eat while they do their business, so giving them a ton of timothy hay next to the box is great. They need a lot of that hay anyway! Pellets and some veggies are good, etc. They destroy a lot of stuff from chewing so giving them stuff helps out. They don't necessarily like being picked up, they prefer you to sit down on the ground with them. They get zoomies too! They're amazing animals, god bless rabbits.
A German Supermarket Pulled All The Russian Products In Its Russian Aisle And Replaced Them With Sunflower Seeds
and people still say germany is heartless from what they did a century ago, wait till they see this :) P.S you stuck to your name :)
Load More Replies...Makes me think of the old lady that gave the russian soldier sunflower seeds to put in his pocket so something pretty could grow out of his dead body. 💙💛
I think this is exactly what they were trying to point out! 💙💛
Load More Replies...In case people are uncertain as to why sunflower seeds..its Ukraines national flower. If I lived near this store, I would buy loads of these packs of these seeds and take them to the food bank
Yes, and Ukraine is the top producer of sunflower seeds and oil.
Load More Replies...While the gesture is understandable (and good), in this specific instance it was nonsense, too. Most, if not all of the "russian" products that were sitting in this shelf before they put in sunflowers were not produced in Russia, but in Germany, Poland or one of the Baltic states (i.e. insinde the EU). So pulling the stuff from the shelf only hurt these manufacturers, but did nothing to actually support the Ukraine. If anything, they should have given the profits from selling the stuff to humanitarian aid for Ukraine.
It is the symbolism that means so much to people.
Load More Replies...Do y'all remember seeing that woman that gave that Russian soldier a sunflower seed to put in his pocket so that when he dies he fertilizes their land? Gosh I love her.
I know I'll get downvoted but that's just disheartening to hear Russians are human beings too

Now that is sweet! Chickens are a lot smarter than we give them credit for and they can make great pets
Could be they get fed as the owner gets out the car, or they’re hungry. They quickly learn where food comes from.
Load More Replies...Chickens are so sweet. I had a few hens a while back and they'd escape...then run to you and wait for you to pick them up, like some sort of game. Lol
It's true. When we had chickens they'd come up and if you stood still for long enough they'd perch on your foot, fluff themselves up and make themselves comfortable, and make little happy affectionate noises to you.
Load More Replies...I love chickens!! They make the most precious little cooing/churr sound of you are petting them and they like it. It's the same as when they are setting eggs or calling their chicks. Even roosters can like some people, and are fierce in protection of the home! I've seen them flog stray dogs trying to get to the hens. I spent a lot of time at my grandparents as a child, they had as a small farm holding.
My chicken do the same and also seem to have a name for me- a special murmur and cluck!
It's true, I know what you mean! Almost like a cross between a ckuck and a purr.
Load More Replies...They really do this and can tell which vehicle is yours. The driveway is at a slant and I park in the side yard so when I had my chicken she would run when I stopped in the driveway and ride in the car with me to where I parked and want to be held and she would ride with me around town. She was the bestest of best friend and I miss her terribly
Love chickens we had a few when I was growing up as well, my neighbour has quite a few now and they come into my garden quite often and the dogs like them and they don't let the dogs mess around, they have lots of personality. My neighbour gives them all old lady names like Margaret, Ethel and Gladys.
The Mildly Interesting subreddit has been around for quite some time and celebrated its 10th birthday just a few months ago. This online group continues to be one of the strongest and biggest communities on the platform and amazes millions of people by sharing "photos that are, you know, mildly interesting". The page is full of gently exciting and novel stuff members found while going about their day that made them do a double-take.
It won’t come as a surprise that we’re used to living our lives a certain way — we have our daily routines, our schools, jobs, cafes, and other places to hang out with our family and friends. Even when we go online and check our social media feeds, few things can genuinely surprise us. So when something appears not quite like we were used to, we feel this breath of fresh air entering our bored minds.
If You Ever Meet Steve Martin By Chance, He Gives You A Card As Proof You Met Him
I've only ever met 1 celebrity, but it was before he was famous. I was a kid, and a friend of mine whose grandmother lived down the street would come on weekends with her folks to visit. The WWE wrestler "The Undertaker" was related, so I met him a couple times. It's one of my highlights from his childhood.
When I left to college at 17, UC Santa Barbara, my one non-education goal while I was as there was to meet Steve Martin & Victoria Tennant. Santa Barbara is full of celebrities, by they were two of very few I fawned over. I got a part-time job at the local movie theater company working between two of the five theaters. On a sleepy Sunday matinee, “Map of the Human Heart” is as playing upstairs in the little theater. I sold them tickets as they both can with Victoria’s mother & tried my best to restrain myself. Actually, I froze and couldn’t say a thing. As they left the box office I felt I blew my only chance. I was bummed. Then, about an hour into the film, with the lobby dead silent, I worked my way to the upper balcony to check for trash. Victoria walked out of the women’s restroom & I said a quote from “LA Story” aloud, hoping she’d hear & acknowledge it was directed at her. I quoted one of my favorite lines of hers, “I keep thinking I’m grow up, but I’m not.” She turned in slight
Shock, smiled and said “thank you.” I told her about my goal to meet them. She gave me a hug. After the film let out, she introduced me to Steve. We chatted for a moment and he asked my name and about me & if I wanted him (and her$ to sign anything. He didn’t have those cards that are now his thing. I said o had nothing for them to sign, but meeting them was a dream fulfilled. The next day, a messenger dropped of an envelope with a typed letter saying we know each other, a business card and 4 tickets to a movie premier for “Coneheads” where I got to briefly meet both of them again. He introduced me to a few people I didn’t know of and talked about me for a minute, then we went our separate ways.

Load More Replies...Your right there is. I had to check after reading this.
Load More Replies...Have you ever come across a letter someone wrote you years ago? It evokes feelings in ways an email or text can never match.
I have some of my parents' things from clearing out their house. I've found letters to them from family & friends, most of them gone now. It's amazing to see the penmanship, and to read the things they wrote about. So many good memories!
Load More Replies...I love this, but it's sad. I am a grown adult and I have no idea how the postal system works. How much postage do I need? $0.50? $9.00? Can I put my letter in any mailbox? How do I know it'll be picked up? Should I camp out near the mailbox to make sure they take it? Last time I had to return a package I just went to the post office and told the person working there while pointing to the return address, "Make this go here." It is a stressful experience aside from the putting on pants part.
Get some "forever" stamps, which cost the current rate of $0.58 each. You can use them forever, even when the rate for mailing a letter goes up. They're good for letters no heavier than an ounce, which is like four or five sheets of paper plus the envelope. Put the letter in your mailbox then raise the little flag on the box to tell the mail carrier there's a letter going out. I prefer to drop letters at the post office or in one of the big blue collection boxes seen around town. We have a locking mailbox, but there's been mail theft in our area, so I'd rather drop letters in more secure box.
Load More Replies...This is one of my favourites! I love staying in touch with people around the world via letter. It’s such a joyful hobby. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone thinking about doing it.
As you’re scrolling through this list, you’ll notice that most photos members share spark at least a bit of interest. They remind us to be mindful of our surroundings, to stop and think about what we know, and to open up ourselves to exciting new possibilities. After all, humans often get labeled as a curious species.
We’re often told curiosity is our motivator for learning, creativity, and further healthy development. However, Dr. Eric Maisel, a psychotherapist, teacher, creativity coach, and author of Redesign Your Mind, believes it should not be considered as the driving force behind everything we know.
"Most people are incurious — they aren’t really curious at all. In all the college classes I’ve ever taken, almost nobody asked any questions (except, 'Will that be on the test?')," he told Bored Panda. "Some people are highly curious and become our scientists, artists, inventors, etc. Most people — let’s make up a statistic — 98% of people aren't particularly curious at all."

Mcdonald’s In The Netherlands Now Serve Drinks With A Cardboard Lid Instead Of A Plastic Lid
Paper lids are becoming popular here, too. Unfotunately that is not entirely good: The paper has to be coated, which makes it very hard to recycle. They can be recycled in theory, but most recycling plants are unable to. Same as paper cups: given proper sorting and recycling, plastic actually often is the lesser of two evils.
I was hoping someone would point out that it's not the save all people think it is
Load More Replies...Yeah, I understand the intended idea... But like paper straws (becomes sogged after a short time, and yes it's a choking hazzard, for real.) it's not quite the best solution.
And no, I don't have a better solution, but it feels like halfway there?
Load More Replies...Accepting people's own mugs would be better, but at least they're trying.
As reusable bags for bread for example, they just can't accept during a global pandemic. They don't touch anything that customers have touched (even cash).
Load More Replies...Same in France, and they give paper straws (they taste awful but that's fine 👌)
I find the paper straws fine. But it's the wooden spoons that are really hard to adjust to. The feeling of them is horrible. So I started carrying a reusible cutlery set in my bag and now tell stores to give me no cutlery.
Load More Replies...Quite difficult to be recycled. It will be best if everybody is carrying a mug in the backpack.
I agree, but if you hand them a ' not perfectly clean personal mug ' .... THEY are liable. So I understand companies are not comfortable (yet) with personal mugs/straws/containers.

My Local Gym Gave The Handicap Drawing A Noticeable Bicep
There’s a Mexican restaurant in my town that painted a margarita in their hands. Lol
LOL, I love cool signs. Also just a suggestion, but if someone in a wheelchair offers to arm wrestle you, do NOT do it. They will totally destroy you and it'll hurt!
Yeah... Seriously.. Some of the folks in wheelchairs, man, do NOT arm wrestle the guy in the wheelchair. I saw a young gentleman, ( term loosely used) who spends his time in between the physical therapy gym and maneuvering the steepest places he can find, take a metal trash can and beat quarter inch deep divots in a steel door! He wasn't locked in or anything, he was just angry the med aide wouldn't stop giving out meds to go to the office and get his cigarettes from the carton locked there. So he tore the trash can from the side of the cart and beat the door of the office. It sounded like the building was coming down! Yes, I understand he was very frustrated, yes I truly get it, I've been in and out of wheelchairs my whole life, I even used to smoke, I hate it for you, but not over a five minute delay, man.
Yeah, analog wheelchairs to take a lot of arm power. It's good to be aware.
Load More Replies...When my daughter was much younger she misunderstood the handicap sign as a "kid on the potty".
Although we like to think of ourselves as clever beings, we often get distracted by constant interruptions and miss a lot of what’s going on around us. Moreover, we might have no idea how much we’re missing. And even when we’re able to concentrate on one particular thing, there's a big possibility important details would slip through our eyes.
"We’re most curious when something actually matters to us," Dr. Maisel explained. "We are incurious as to where the exit signs are on our airplane, but when the plane hits the water, we are very curious as to where they are. Suddenly, we really want to know."
"High curiosity is connected to our life purposes and our meaning needs. If, say, one of our life purposes is to start a successful business, then we throw ourselves into learning what works and doing what works," he added.
Cardboard Rings For This 6 Pack Instead Of The Plastic Ones
I've seen biodegradable ones that turn into safe food for aquatic life. That's a win-win.
Load More Replies...+10 for the cardboard ring, -10.000 for wasting aluminium to can water.
Aluminium is recyclable.. Should they put the water in paper or plastic?
Load More Replies...Every person I see who picks up a pack of cans with these type of cardboard rings always ALWAYS drops a few because the cardboard isnt strong enough to hold a 4 pack of cans - let alone a 6 pack, so shops end up having to tape them together. Defeats the object of cutting down on single use plastic. Now the ones that have better structure to them or even the ones that break down to become fish food are far superior!
The holder should be like a basket, cover the bottom and make a handle.
Load More Replies...Never ever saw a plastic one, there are only cardboard ones in Germany.
And the sixpacks are 9/10 returnable glass bottles
Load More Replies...Everyone is applauding this but seriously they had to use this on cans of water because if there was even the tiniest rip in the cardboard, all the cans would fall out. This would be a disaster if this were soda. Also canned water would taste gross after not a long amount of time. Some environmentally ideas are better than others and this idea falls at the bottom of list.
If the cardboard gets wet, it will not hold caused by potentially rain or other beverage spill. (edit for atrocious spelling)
Load More Replies...Nice idea in principle, but infact they are crap and dont work, and the store usually ends up giving you a plastic bag to carry them without dropping them....in my experience...

Pineapples take several years to grow and then produce fruit I think. Have you gotten pineapples every year?
That's cool to note. Be a groovy ornamental plant in the meantime.

Any doll can be autistic. It's not a look. One of the best things about dolls is that you can create your own storyline.
Load More Replies...While most people believe curiosity drives our creativity, Dr. Maisel told us it’s probably the other way around. It’s more likely for creative people to be more curious than for uncreative people to become more curious, he said. "Uncreative people are most likely to stay uncreative. I don’t think there’s a 'curiosity vaccine' for that. As to how we 'use' curiosity, we use it the same way we 'use' love. We love by loving. We are curious by being curious."

My Dad Found Apples In Tomato Boxes Labeled As Blueberries
The "Fresh Cut Flowers" needs to be moved to the side a little bit, than it would be perfect!
If you have a card, the tomatoes (which look awful for market tomatoes, BTW) turn into blueberries.
Most sweet potatoes are labeled as yams - on purpose. They are not the same thing.
One piece of advice the creativity coach would like to share with you is to simply learn by doing. "If you’re curious about how to write a novel, write a novel. Don’t take a million how-to-write-a-novel classes. That isn’t curiosity, that’s avoidance. Learn by doing. If you’re genuinely curious, that’s the way," Dr. Maisel suggested.

"Everyone probably has a slightly different interpretation or idea of what is mildly interesting." But they believe that the concept of relatability is most important—it has to be "nothing spectacular but something novel". But apparently, this comes with its own issues. The moderator revealed this ambiguity sometimes makes it difficult to moderate the content: "Sometimes we see users post to r/MildlyInteresting first (because if they didn't, it would break rule 3 of our page). Then, they go on to crosspost to r/DamnThatsInteresting. And we're thinking to ourselves, 'r/HolUp, it can't be both'."

RedSquaree also told Bored Panda people should expose themselves "to more novelty and ambiguity" in their day-to-day lives if they want to keep a sense of curiosity as they grow older. "Much of our content is novel and/or ambiguous. Go about your day tomorrow and think, 'If I were to submit a photograph to r/MildlyInteresting, what would it be?' Be on the lookout for things that are just novel and ambiguous enough to arouse only mild interest. Snap."
This Book Uses A Drawing Of A Baby With Vitiligo
The sign language instructions at the bottom is icing on the cake. This is definitely an awesome children's book
I wish I'd had a book that taught sign language as a kid, I'm sure I would have taken up the challenge to learn it (because I'm horrible at languages).
Load More Replies...I once babysat a little girl with vitiligo and she was very insecure about it because the rest of her family didn't have it and wasn't super kind to her about it. I did my best to give her confidence and tell her that her unique skin was beautiful (she really was a cute little kid and I personally think vitiligo is super cool) but I definitely think she would have benefited from children's books with drawings of kids that looked like her.
In that same book, it also shows stuff like a mom with a wheelchair, a baby with glasses, a baby with a hearing aid, african american people, and twin babies.
See! Vitiligo is so cool! (See my last comment on the other post about vitiligo)
that is so cool, i love how much more representation there is in the world.

This makes me so sad. I wonder what future generations will think of us... if they live, I suspect our children's children will wonder why we did nothing to fix things.
No, future generations will know what happened. Certain major media owners are climate change denialists and they make sure that ordinary people continue to believe that the science is not certain, or that it's not a big deal. Add to this that fossil fuel interests employ a lot of people who don't want to lose their jobs. Future generations will know that although the truth was known, it was easy to ignore it because it was thought inconvenient to act on what we know.

Actually, this specific setup in the picture is IKEA. I recognize the front, the legs and the font of the numbers. Source, I own one. It even shows you what the huck it's up to (it alternates between the remaining time and several pictograms). Mine is also very silent, absolutely love it.

I Have Been Keeping A Collection Of The Tiny Balls In Pen Ink Cartridges Since Middle School
I have my collection as well! Funny: When I went to get my autism diagnosed, the psychologist asked about 'weird collections'. I answered "Nah, none. Oh no wait.. I collected porcelain cats, even though I hated porcelain. And the balls out of fountain pens..." He laughed and said: "Well, the porcelain cats count, I guess. And I still collect those balls today!"
You can cut the ink cartriges in half by scissors and carefully roll the ball out and dry it on a handkerchief :-)
Load More Replies...Do you mean the ball where the ink rolls onto the paper? The nib? If not, can you please explain? I am sooooo curious looking at that.
If you use a fountain-pen, you have to get these narrow cartridges with ink in them. The ball is the seal for the top, where the ink would come out to the tip. pe1758_0.jpg

My Mug Is Sweating Tea Through The Cracks In The Ceramic
🎵Pressure like a (literal) drip, drip, drip...🎵
Load More Replies...Hmm interesting. Those aren't cracks, those are crazes (different, theyre in the surface glassy layer, and not going through the actual ceramic body). I wonder if its just that the crazing is all over and the liquid just got pulled along them via capillary action OR possibly the body isnt properly vitrified (baked all the way through to water resistance) and so the liquid is diffusing through the body, but not through the glaze (which is water proof) other than where its crazed. I dont think it is in danger of breaking though, if it really was that cracked, it would have exploded as soon as they started pouring water in.
I didn't know all that, interesting... but having done one semester of pottery in college I have seen enough that I wouldn't drink out of that cup. I've had store-boufht cups do it and I don't know if their glaze is poisonous when liquid and it could be touching the drink inside the cup too ya know???
Load More Replies...You should probably stop drinking from it and use it only for decorative purposes (like a small flower pot or something). If tea is sweating through it, there's a good chance that bacteria can also infiltrate it, and you may not be able to clean it thoroughly. While the vast majority of bacteria are harmless, enough are definitely NOT harmless, and I wouldn't want to take the chance.

Food Is Allowed In The Library At My College

Great idea in theory, but - no no no. I don't want to smell your nasty egg sandwich, or hear your slurping and chewing. Also, mistakes happen, saw someone spill a bowl of soup over a book, and another dripping his salat sauce all over the table. Big NO from me
I still think food/drinks have no business in a library. Accidents occur for even the most responsible adults and no one wants to smell other people’s food while studying/reading.
That's a great policy, hope it doesn't ruined by some random jerk.

Hypocrisy at its finest.
You don't know that every non-masker harasses maskers. You also apparently have not been a non-masker getting harassed by a masker. Also there are some people who have rare medical conditions that make them unable to safely wear a mask and yet will get even medical personnel in a doctor office insisting they put ona mask under their face shield or asking why they can't wear one (which goes against the HIPPA patient privacy law). There are all kinds of jerks on both sides. And also nice people on both sides.

Rubbish: they are always available and each one holds a special meaning to the owner.
Considering movies and tv shows get bounced around to different services every month, or disappear altogether, having physical copies isn't such a bad idea. What does suck is services with exclusives choosing not to release their series on physical media to force you into having their service.
Keep them carefully. Streaming services are polluting and expensive and people are going to realize it more and more. The current Internet spree is not going to last forever. Low-tech for the win ! Besides, DVDs are sometimes actual cool collector objects with interesting bonus content you will never have access to on a streaming service.
I still have a bunch of DVDs I still watch. My mom comes by and borrows them like I'm a library lol.

Yeah the most extra I'm willing to do is toss my masks and binders in a delicates bag so I can fish them out before they hit the dryer. Maybe if I *really* like a marked shirt I'll do a pre-scrub. Other than that, F that noise, toss it all on cold and shove it all in the dryer.
Load More Replies...Even with 4 in the house I'd never have enough to separate loads. Darks together, lights together, hang out if weather suits, otherwise put what you can in the dryer and hang the rest on clotheshorse
Missed a step - “Before using the dryer make sure the lint trap is clean.” It quickly becomes a fire hazard.
I separate out anything I know runs, but I do it all on the eco setting anyway so even if I forget I rarely have an issue.
Jeans, khakis and dark colors can all be washed together. Who even has so many clothes to do them separately?

The Instructions On My Oatmeal Say To Cook It Longer In The French Translation
Sometimes they change the timing of products depending on the taste of the country. Pasta has a longer time in France than in Italy.
Bring the MILK to a simmer and add oatmeal, cook for about 3 minutes and add sugar. That tastes so much better than Salt water.
With English and French on the package I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that this is in Canada. Maybe French Canadians like their oatmeal more like a smooth porridge?

Load More Replies...American Candy According To A UK Petrol Station
Technically accurate but these don't represent the most popular candies by a long shot. A lot of the most popular candies aren't there, like Skittles, Starburst, and anything chocolate (you probably have better overall chocolate in the UK), and this makes it look like a lot of Americans eat Nerds and Mike & Ike, which I don't think is true. I don't recognize anything on the bottom shelf.
The Runts are really very good. The banana is supposed to be "real banana flavor" and the strawberry are so yummy in them too, but overall the display is pretty slim as far as candy that we really eat. There are no sour gummy items and my kids love them. My very favorite thing in the world is "Valomilk" by Sifers, it looks very similar to a Reese's Cup, but a little bigger and filled with semi-liquid marshmallow and the chocolate is much better than any Reese's. They were created in the 1950's and have been a staple in candy stores ever since. They are so delicious. I rarely eat candy but when I see them I will get a couple and have them. I may have a couple a year but they're so good. If you like the components, try them.

My "Steel" Toed Boots Are Actually A Hard Plastic
Kevlar boots are much more comfortable than steel. You don't get frost bite on your toes in winter and the lighter boot saves your hip. I haven't ever gone back.
This. And the cap goes back to its normal form after the pressure is gone. The steel cap stays deformed and squeezes your foot until someone frees you from your shoe. (That's what I've been told. I've never experienced an accident like this so far.)

Not sure which is worse, the graphic design, the speculation, or that poem.
No, but this kind of started the greed for toys. Buy it don't play with it and you will be rich when you sell it. My sister had a fit when I let my son play with a toy she bought. "It is too expensive to play with" I offered to give it back. Toys are to be played with. A beaten up toy is one that was loved.

Febreze Bottle With Bottom Part Removed
I hate false packaging, especially small containers what have a huge domed area underneath them so you only get half the amount you think you are getting.
It's not false packaging, it is shaped like that so it will be able to keep it's shape against internal pressure. If they were to use a flat bottom, it would not keep it's shape and would bulge out and even possibly rupture due to stresses caused by changing of the shape. All pressurized containers need to have either concave or convex bottoms depending on material and the pressure. Check the bottom of your deodorant bottles or fire extinguishers etc. They will all have a similar thing going. It would actually be cheaper to produce a single bottle with a flat bottom rather than requiring the additional bottom piece to hold it steady. Also, if the intention was to use less liquid, they would simply put more water into the mixture or just fill it up a little less. After all, the bottle cannot be filled completely since it requires pressurized gas to be used as propellent. So, in short, it's a simple engineering/manufacturing problem that requires that type of bottom. Hope this helps.
