I don't think your statement is a stigma or taboo to say. It's very well known that education especially in the US is more of a business than anything. Yes Doctors and Lawyers should be in school. But for other things like Art school, music, beauty school, culinary school, fitness trainers. That's what YouTube tutorials are for.

Let's be honest here. Usually it is the professors that require a print out to be turned in for a grade. Students are often reluctant to do it because it costs them money. It costs the professor nothing, so they do not care.
