Unfortunately for some people, their partners simply can't commit to one person and not have other romantic adventures on the side. But no matter how hard they try to hide it, the truth is often revealed nevertheless; sometimes in some rather crazy ways.
Netizens on X (formerly Twitter) recently discussed such ways, after one user asked them to share the craziest stories about how they learned their partner was cheating. Despite it being a rather painful thing to go through, quite a few people opened up about their experiences, so if you're curious to read their stories, scroll down to find them on the list below.

It’s safe to assume that no one wants to see their relationship crumble or believe that their partner could ever cheat on them. But unfortunately, quite a few of them do, consequently destroying not only their relationship, but their partner’s ability to trust, too.
In addition to difficulties trusting someone after having been cheated on, people might also experience depressive symptoms or deal with lowered self-esteem. “The impact of this life-altering event challenges the person’s sense of self, safety and trust in another who is supposed to be their ‘secure base’ for love and adoration,” experts suggest in a study of love and infidelity. “Thus, infidelity leaves some at risk of turning towards unhealthy coping mechanisms such as excessive drinking, drug use, unprotected sex, and suicidal behavior in response to their emotional pain.”
Despite being a somewhat common reason for breakups and divorce, infidelity doesn’t mean the same thing for everyone. People might draw the line at different things, as for some, their partner developing feelings for someone else is enough, while others only consider it cheating if people act on it. But no matter where the line is drawn, infidelity usually involves a breach of trust.
According to Simply Psychology, cheating is “something you do behind your partner’s back, something you know you shouldn’t do and therefore keep a secret.” That’s why some people might consider something seemingly innocent, such as a text, to be equally detrimental to catching their partner in bed with someone else.
I have never understood why a woman’s first impulse is to blame and hate the other woman. Not all of them are true homewreckers. Most of them are ALSO being lied to by the same man. So your best strategy is for both of you to gang up on the cheating POS who has been lying to both of you. Change that to all of you if there’s more than one other woman.
Should ask her how come this many people said they seen her with another man. They couldn't all have been lying.
According to Simply Psychology, there are three types of cheating – physical, emotional, and digital; or, perish the thought, all three together. And while being physically or emotionally unfaithful is in no way a recent phenomenon, digital infidelity is something that has arguably escalated with the increase in technology use.
Some sources suggest that virtual cheating or cyber-infidelity is so widespread that as much as a quarter of Tinder users are in a relationship while using the app and roughly one-in-ten committed people admit to using websites for finding extramarital partners, such as Ashley Madison.
The aforementioned Ashley Madison website, used by people seeking adulterous affairs, is just one example showing that quite a few committed people seek romantic adventures outside of their marriage or their relationship. A recent Netflix docuseries on said dating site sheds light on not only the fact that a large number of people cheat on their significant others, but also showed that the truth might come out at any minute; as it did with the cheaters mentioned on this list.
Nowadays, with technology and social media being an integral part of our everyday lives, it’s not surprising that the two play a role when it comes to infidelity, too. Seeking to evaluate said role, Deseret News commissioned a poll, which found that many people consider sexual relations with someone else cheating, but they’re less sure where to draw the line when it comes to interactions over the internet.
According to the poll, roughly three quarters of Americans believe that a one-night stand or a consistent sexual affair counts as cheating. However, only half of them (51%) say that sending sexually explicit text messages is cheating, only 63% believe that maintaining an online dating profile while in a relationship is cheating, and less than a fifth (16%) consider following an ex on social media cheating.
Her name / twitter name makes me question absolutely everything about this.
But the same way technology and social media enable people to cheat on their partners, they can also play a part in the truth revealing itself, especially if the cheater leaves their chats open in plain sight or sends a spicy message to the wrong person. Though this list shows that these are far from the craziest ways a cheater might be caught.
Jesus christ.... That's frightening on many many levels. Makes you wonder what he'd done to the other woman/man to where there was a restraining order. That's always for serious stuff.
My grandmother told my mother's boyfriend that my mother was a golddigger and will never ever work a job (completely true, me and all my siblings are 'gotcha!' babies). He, rightfully, dumped my hoebag of a mom. As a child I understood it was the best thing for him, but I was quietly devastated, he was an Italian architect from Naples, absolute standup guy, intelligent, sophisticated, kind, and the most decent man my mother had ever been with. I desperately wanted him to be my new dad. Still miss you, Elio Sullo.
I knew a woman, Lisa. She found out her partner was cheating. Lisa contacted the other woman Anna, and talked. Turns out he started dating them both around the same, time and told them both they were exclusive. Lisa out him out for coffee, and arranged for Anna to 'turn up'. Lisa and Anna took a photograph of the three of them together, and sent it to his Mam. Mam was not impressed by her son's actions. Lisa and Anna ditched the cheater, and became friends.
I had been dating this guy for about 8 months. He gave me a house key so that when I finished work earlier than him and we had plans together I could go straight there (his place was a better location than mine). We made plans one night, I headed to his place, let myself in as usual and found his wife(!), naked and lounging in 'their' bedroom. Apparently she had been working away on a contract and he had been visiting her there (explained by him as work travel). This time she wanted to surprise him and came home. I handed her the key, left the house, deleted his number and never spoke to him again.
Dang. I admit, I'm evil. I would've asked her if she was okay with hiding her car around the block so we could greet him when he came in. His expression would have been priceless!
Load More Replies...When I was in my early to mid twenties I got a phone call from a woman asking me to talk to my mother (who had left and then divorced my father about five years earlier). She said she was my mother's boyfriend's wife and she wanted my mother to stop seeing him. There's a phone call no one wants to get.
Went to my grandpa's funeral several states away. When I got back, my gf admitted she went to a party while I was gone and "messed up." Years later, she was dating the guy at the party for a couple of years and cheated on him too. He ended up being my best friends roommate somehow. Kinda incredible. Last I heard from her she was blowing another guy who was in a relationship with someone else in hopes that he'd choose her instead. Just a complete mess of a human.
I had a co-worker (male) who's wife was pregnant with their 5th child. He was a dutiful father, taking her to all her appointments, paying for everything she needed. He was even there for the baby's birth. He has bright red hair and is very pale. The baby came out with dark skin and African facial features.
A guy a friend knew. His wife found out he was cheating on her with his secretary. He found out she found out so he just didn't go home, spent the weekend on their boat so she could cool down. She cleaned house. If it wasn't nearly permanently attached to the house, she took it. When he went home on Monday, the house was empty. She even took the doorknobs (no idea why she didn't take the doors) and switch/socket cover plates. I say he's lucky she didn't turn off the power, pull the switches and outlets and just cut the wires. Last I heard, he married the secretary, and they later got divorced, I think friend said he cheated on her too.
my mother was married to my father and engaged to 3 other men. She left my father and dumped two of the boyfriends. Then found out the one she kept was married. She knocked on the door, invited the wife to the bar and once the wife was drunk, they decided to confront him together. After he was home, the wife decided she wanted a divorce, so my mother ended up marrying him. Then 10 years and two more kids later, she started dating my sister's ex, who was 19, she got pregnant with baby #6 and was surprised when her husband left her. She always told my youngest half siblings that the only men she had ever dated were the two men she had married and the boyfriend they remember... I almost wet myself when I heard that one...
Your mother got the wife drunk so she'd be bold enough to leave her husband so your mother could have him? Yuk, that's just nasty
