Of course, with those dreams come the ideas of what you would do with all that money. Therefore, when someone online asked people what subtle signs or life changes would give away that they won the lottery if they didn’t tell anyone about it, netizens flooded in to deliver their answers. There is a saying that money can’t buy happiness. However, it sure can help one attain it. There are always additional comforts in life that we want and could have if we had extra cash to spend. While for some, that might mean spending big on expensive houses and cars, for others, it could be something as simple as feeling financially secure and being able to afford much more basic things.
When it comes to working, even if you enjoy what you do, it could still help you achieve a much better work-life balance. I know someone who won a comfortable amount, but not sure.it was euromillons jackpot big. Big family and a few who would have been grabby if they knew the amount and they were mature enough to realise money could upset their relationships.
They traded up house, still worked but part time (don't think many people were aware). Used the reason for move that they have been saving for years to upgrade, hence always being skint. I was one of those who knew, they had won something but didn't really pry onto amount, probably why they shared it with me.
I like that when they went on holiday they let family know they were going to Spain, but kept quiet about travelling first class and class of hotel. Still really happy and seem to have kept family from finding out and creating grief. .
But while everyone thinks about these things from time to time, it’s not that often that we hear a question like this being asked. Therefore, while reading this thread, we became curious about how it came to be, so Bored Panda reached out to the OP, BuildRome, who was happy to have a little chat with us about it.
The poster got the idea to ask this question online when he was talking to his sister, who thought that this would be a great topic for a first date. “I thought it’d make a great ask Reddit question!” said the author, revealing how he came to make this viral post.
The OP was very surprised to see his post receive so much attention. “I’ve only been on Reddit for about a month after deleting my other socials, so I was definitely surprised the thread took off like it did. I [have] never got that many likes [before].”

My sister would win 1 of 2 *Build Your Dream House* lotteries (I'd pay the co to do 2 and have her win one).
My parents would be notified that my grandfather's estate had $50K set aside for all his great grandchildren which was only just found and, 20y later, each is now worth about $100K.
A recall would be issued for a part on my best friend's car, and insurance would decide a new car would be better/ cheaper. They'd give her a lump sum check.
My other friend would win a trip to see her favorite band, all expenses paid, in 3 different venues.
A few organizations I know would stop having electrical and property tax bills.
I'd have a shell company buy a specific property to prevent development happening to a 500 acre woodland.

I would go to more away games, not mentioning how I got there (via NetJets, probably), claiming a YOLO philosophy and CC travel points.
My wardrobe quality would go up, and 'though the style wouldn't change much, the fit would be vastly improved.
That pilates instructor whom I can never meet with would start doing house calls and decide to leave equipment in my spare room for convenience's sake.

We asked the poster what would be the subtle signs or changes in his life that people would notice if he won the lottery but chose not to reveal it to anyone. To this, the author answered that, unlike some commenters, he would really not go with anything fancy.
The OP talked about paying his family’s rent and mortgage, visiting friends, and traveling the world. “I think the most obvious signs would be that I’d be able to be a lot more generous with my friends.”
The poster summarized by saying that he really doesn’t enjoy not being able to afford a pint when hanging out with friends, and it is things like these that he’d love to see change the most. “I’d make sure we’re all eating and drinking good. I’d shop in Waitrose rather than Aldi too! Little things like that, no gold lambo, lol.”

Owning a farm, less exposure to humans, baking my heart out for the people I love. Just the hobbies I'd like to pick up again after being stuck to surviving today's standards.
In the end, based on what all of these people said, core happiness does not come from money. We are all in charge of creating a life we like living for ourselves, and it is up to us to overcome the obstacles that stand in our way.
Still, it would be hard to argue that winning the lottery wouldn’t make it a whole lot easier to make those plans come true. And even though the chances of that are rather minimal, it hurts no one to dream about it.

I’d reduce my hours in my job to part time, I’m one of the lucky ones that love my job.

Lifestyle: Really the big clue would be putting a ton more time into parenting. I'd pretty much immediately flip from the weekend dad to full time SAHD(but with a maid who leaves just enough undone so I have the kids build better habits of cleaning up after themselves).
Health: Dental implants, therapy
Consumerist/luxury: Smartwool/darn tough for every pair of socks &underwear; dental implants.
Fountain pens and commissioned art(including some instruments).
I'd do nothing but art, cook, work out, and game during the day.
Probably volunteer at the boys and girls club pretty much every day-the teen room has a decent kitchen, and lots of food insecure kids. Ramen + a piece of fruit does not make for good nutrition, or good eaters. Let's f*****g explore. And not be hungry.

I know a couple who are multi-millionaires. We’re talking full time family office staff that invests their portfolio. Their kids are out of college now.
They fly first class to Europe or Bali or Japan or South Korea or Dubai or Tahiti, spend a month there, living out of top suites in luxury hotels from one city to another, dining at Michelin starred restaurants, getting private tours to museums, exhibits, etc.
They’re just a couple who mostly grew up middle class, so they dress casually and look like a retired couple.

I would slowly start draping myself in velvet. First some nice socks. Then about a week later I'd buy some pants. Top of the line velvet pants. Then I'd wait in case anyone noticed....so a few weeks after that I'd get the robe. Then if anyone laughed at my velvety attire I would chuckle in their direction because IM RICH B***H.

My reservation on money. Normally, I'm not the one that care much about earning money and buying stuff, but if I were to suddenly won the lottery and gain millions? You bet your a*s that imma invest that s**t.

No free healthcare in the US. We have hundreds a month in premiums, then have deductibles in the thousands of dollars, copays, and cost share, and it all resets every year so everything you paid is just flushed down a corporate profits toilet. For what I pay in premiums alone I could fly first class to another country to pay for what I need and it would save me at least 50% over getting treated here.

I'd have my house renovated to better meet my needs, pay off the mortgage, and give my mom the option of moving if she chose, or whatever work she would want on her current home, and pay off her mortgage. I'd hire a full-time helper, and fence in the backyard. Then I'd get a dog or ten and some more cats.

I'd get my home redecorated. I've only ever sorted my children's rooms. I'd also get some nice garden furniture (that s**t is expensive) and I'd treat my pets to new toys, treats, and stuff. I'm not allowed more pets though I've got enough
