I have a very hard time hearing on a telephone- as in, I cannot hear. When I am at home, in my car or anywhere ALONE I use my speakerphone so I can hear. My family knows this and I'll answer them calling and just say Into the phone: I'm out and can't talk. Text me if it's urgent or I'll call you back later. Love you!' then I hang up. If it's urgent, I'll go find a place where I can use the speakerphone and talk to them. It's not that hard and we all make it work - for the sole reason I don't want to be rude and have conversations with the whole world listening!!
