I'm pretty sure that summers before kids usually meant road trips, campfires, and beach days. Don't get me wrong, we still do all of that, but things have changed just a little.

For all the parents out there spending this summer worried about pee in the pool, road trip snacks, and how much sunscreen a kid really needs, these pictures are for you!

Having kids hasn't taken ALL of her time - she still has plenty to set up all these photos!

When I was 7, I went on a road trip. I was so thrilled that I had finally learned to read. I started reading every billboard, street sign, etc. Finally, my grandmother said "You don't have to read every sign!"

When my parents went on vacation for the first time with me I was just two year old. We met up with my aunt and uncle in a town 3 hours away. first thing I say when we get there is "Are we in vacation now? Is this vacation?" We still had 6+ hours to drive to Sweden :)

We literally had just backed out of the driveway onto the street when my two-year old asked if we were almost there.

Tell them if they go to sleep, they'll get there faster. It helped with my daughter, but it also helped that she tended to fall asleep in the car on a normal basis.

I always say it's because humans will let you know when they're hungry & thirsty. If my plants would remind me, I would be a better plant mother.
