Even though the US presidential election results are in, Trump and his supporters — the MAGAhats — refuse to accept them.
Exercising their right to act stupid, the gang tried to show their support for their leader by holding the Million MAGA March in Washington, D.C. on Saturday (November 14). The protest was filled with people insisting Trump should remain in office for another four years and was attended by various hate groups including the Proud Boys. It's unclear how many of them were there, but the media think thousands or tens of thousands of people showed up.
And this number probably could've been bigger if it wasn't for pancakes. You see, the hashtag #MillionMAGAMarch has been used by Trump supporters on Twitter to organize and coordinate march, but actor Shea Depmore started the idea for hijacking it, saying: "We are not going to go and counter-protest in person. We're gonna take over their hashtag instead."
She then asked people to "fill the hashtag ... here on Twitter, anywhere that has hashtags with pancakey goodness." Depmore also suggested fans use the #MAPA2020 hashtag ('Make America Pancakes Again').

People, including K-Pop fans, honored the request and flooded the hashtag with countless photos of pancakes.
"Shout out to the incredible K-Pop Stans (Twitter royalty) who hijacked the #MillionMAGAMarch hashtag with pancakes making it unusable by Trump loyalists," someone wrote on Twitter.
But not everyone agreed to join the initiative. "Seriously, though, if the MAGA folks want to march, let them march. They have First Amendment rights like everyone else does. Ignore them and leave them alone," another person said. "Those of us who oppose Trump already expressed our sentiments in the way that matters most. We voted."
Since her initial statement, Depmore had been tagged in some videos asking people to spread the word about staying away from the Million MAGA March (for fear of violence, not to mention Covid). "A lot of people on TikTok were warning others about the Proud Boys (and other white supremacists) being in attendance," Shea told Bored Panda. "I didn't want to tell people not to counter-protest. It is important to oppose the hate that the Proud Boys are spreading. Instead, I thought I'd just give them a safer way to counter that message."
The internet has a bunch of thoughtful explanations for why the activist chose pancakes, but in reality, Depmore was simply tickled by the idea. "I thought we could be the 'Pancake Bitchez' instead of the Proud Boys. Since it was a daytime march, it also gave people a reason (brunch) to stay home instead of attending. All of this to say, I was not prepared for that many people to take part in this. I thought I'd be able to reach my followers, maybe a little more than that."
She thinks the tiny 'joking-not-joking' moment at the end of her video, telling people to inform the K-Pop stans is the only reason the hashtag takeover actually succeeded.
While the march was largely orderly during the day, Trump supporters clashed with counter-demonstrators in the night. Officials said 20 people had been arrested on a variety of charges, including assault and weapons possession, and one stabbing was reported. Two police officers were injured.
Meanwhile, the president continues to dispute the election results. He said checks on ballots in Georgia were a "waste of time", but didn't provide any evidence.
A manual recount is to be carried out in Georgia because the margin between the two candidates was really narrow, but this shouldn't change the results there.
thing is; he actually wants to run again and something tells me it may work out; sadly....
This one went over my head. Is the pancake supposed to represent the maga march?
Am I weird, or does anyone else like syrup on their scrambled eggs? Just seemed like a good spot to post this... screw off Trumpers :)
You do you. Even if that means syrup on scrambled eggs.
Load More Replies...I don’t think they’re supporters anymore, they’ve become disciples. It’s rather scary
