Artist “Paints” With His Palm
Artist Russell Powell (previously here) creates paintings that can’t be replicated. Russell – who works full time as a first-grade teacher in San Jose, California – paints stunning realistic portraits on his palms first, and only then stamps them on paper. He has to paint quickly enough so that his medium doesn’t dry, but the stamping showcases Powell’s unique fingerprints, making the images truly one-of-a-kind.

I agree with your basic comment, but was the profanity really necessary ? Your level of education is showing.

Load More Replies...First he can draw & paint and he found a creative outlet for his skill!!! Love it a ll!
Fantastic I would love one of those paintings, but no doubt would be way out of my price range.Wonderful and enviable talent xx
You gotta hand it to this guy. He's got it all fingered out and has all the right touches. Just needs to index his paintings. Thumbs up.
It's .Awesome but it's not it is clearly a form of printmaking, not painting. I am a printmaker and a print is defined by transferring an image from one surface to another, simply put. Excellent concept of printmaking !
I have a feeling being a first grade teacher, with all those messy hands, gave him the idea to do this.
Thinking he's had the pictures printed on his hand and then slaps it on some paper. Thoughts, anyone?
Hey bored panda. I dare you to put the name of the artist in the title. When will you start giving credits to the artist and stop calling them anonymously as "an artist" or "a guy". They have names and they deserve to be known as who they are - unless they specify otherwise. Thanks
It says his name, Russel Powell in the description, along with a link to his instagram page...
