This Comic Perfectly Captures The Side Effects Of Overthinking, And We’ve All Been There
Not all of us are blessed with the kind of cast-iron confidence that enables a casual and relaxed approach to an attractive member of the opposite sex. For overthinkers, those who tend to analyze every possible scenario to death until the opportunity passes, the dilemma is real.
This comic by artist Connor Delaney perfectly captures this, and if you also tend to overthink things you will definitely relate. This is the kind of scenario that plays itself out every single day. Maybe this time you should go with your gut feelings, and let things take their natural course? Nah, better to stay silent and imagine all the ways it could go wrong, obvs!

Share on FacebookThis is 100% relatable. I used to take the train to work and I'm an introvert as well, so I mostly kept to myself and my own thoughts and I once burst out laughing while thinking about something funny while looking out the window and a woman across from me looked out the window too, trying to see what's so funny and that made me laugh even harder. I got some funny looks after that. Never a dull moment...
Ohh that reminds me of a time, we (a group from my class at this time and me) do this as a game. 3 of us look up and saying and acting like „ohh look up how silly/funny/beautiful“ and one will looking around if someone trys to figure out what is going on. Quite funny :D
Load More Replies...I used to feel this way all the time when I rode the bus to class in college and then in class itself. Countless times I saw someone I felt attracted to getting on the bus and I would just look the other way. The whole ride or class period I'd feel a weird pull to them and would wonder if they felt it too. I'll never know if it was mutual because I never showed a desire to communicate. I still need to work on this.
