Optical illusions are always fun and fascinating as they trick our brains into perceiving things differently than they actually are. It may sound cliché, but illusion drawings are our reminder that the things we see are not always as they seem.

Ukrainian artist Oleg Shupliak surely knows how mind-bending eye tricks can be as he specializes in creating them. The 52-year-old artist was an architecture student and in the course, he learned how to create images within other images. As he was fascinated by this technique, in his free time, he began to paint famous figures from art and culture blurred with landscapes, and that's how his illusion paintings were born.

Each of these unique artworks is beautiful on their own as they have detailed artistry on display but the most fascinating part is that the more you stare at them, the more you'll see. Behind carefully placed characters, objects, coloring, and shadows, there is a second image concealed cleverly so his beautiful paintings require a double-take before the hidden images reveal themselves.

In his cool artworks, Shupliak includes famous figures from art and culture (or sometimes even science!) such as John Lennon, Vincent van Gogh, Salvador Dalí, Newton, and many more, therefore these creative ideas already seem familiar to us even though we see them for the first time.

Take a few moments to enjoy each artwork and you'll be surprised how every detail reveals itself as you look!

Seeing this painting in person moved me to tears, this is a wonderful homage to it.
