Mom’s Dramatic Before-And-After Pics Of 2 Pound Weight Loss Prove That Weight Is A Lie

When it comes to weight loss, most people depend on the scale to show results. But this mom and fitness blogger proved that weight is just a number.

Adrienne Osun shared before-and-after pics of her dramatic body transformation thanks to weightlifting and intermittent fasting. Even though her ripped body looks radically different, all she lost was two pounds! “The scale doesn’t measure fat vs muscle,” Osun wrote. By losing fat and gaining muscle, the mother of 4 has changed her body measurements radically and lost dress sizes, and we’re truly inspired! She’s definitely proved that weight is just a number that does not describe how a fit body looks. You can follow Adrienne’s healthy lifestyle journey on Instagram.

I'd say your clothes are your best measurement when it comes to fat loss and body shaping.

Not a lot of people know this, but they should: The average american model is 5'11'' and weighs less than 120 lbs. The average woman is 5'4'' and weighs 140 lbs. There are different types of beauty, health, and fitness, and you shouldn't let anyone tell you you have to be a certain way. Just be happy :)

In italy the model is around 50kg. In a country where pasta, pizza and cakes are tooooo delicious to say"i'll have a salad for lunch and a yogurt for dinner". We are one of the healtiest country (no ogm, less fat food than the rest of EU or USA,we move a lot with bike and also the fast food are not only the kind of mc or Bk) but it's not enough. U have to be skinny or not find cute dresses(almost everywhere sizes go up to 48 that is a 12Usa),u'll be criticized and ppl will say that u don't love yourself because you don' t come in kate moss' shape. O f**k it. I think we just have to work to become the greatest version of ourselves. Or Beyoncè. I will not complain if tomorrow i'll wake up like her XD

There is far too much emphasis on the number. When I am more active feel better, and look better.

Very inaccurate and misleading title. Weight is not meaningless. What matters is your body composition. 180 pounds of muscle and 180 pounds of fat look very different.

This is definitely true. I've pretty much always weighed 130 pounds but how I look depends on what I'm doing with my life. When I get super lazy and stop exercising, obviously my body looks soft and loose, which makes me feel like I'm fat. When I go back to exercising, my body tones and tightens so that even though I weight the same, I look and feel better about my body. Either way, 130 is a perfectly healthy weight for my height and age range. The only difference is how it looks to me.

1 pound of muscle is the same as 1 pound of fat. The DENSITIES are different, but 1 pound is 1 pound is 1 pound. A pound of feathers looks a lot bigger than a pound of gold, but it's still only 1 pound.

Weighing scales help you to track your weight. Am losing or gaining weight? It's a good tool for dieting. BMI is only a guideline. BUT, if your BMI says you're overweight and you don't build muscle as a hobby, then take a look at your diet and your lifestyle and decide, using common sense, if you want to make changes. Then track those changes using multiple resources, including weighing scales. Just don't obsess over the number. Congrats to this woman for achieving her goals.

weight means nothing. look for example at the Klitschko Brothers: according to BMI they're overweight but look at those muscles. The only thing people should be worried about is the bodyfat, bodywater and musclemass ratios. If those are good, your BMI will probably be really bad

Yep. Muscle is denser than fat. So if you're working out with heavy weights to lose weight....it ain't happening. You'll slim down and tone up and be more healthy, but your weight may not change much. As many people on here have said: use your clothe sizes and overall health as a guide to how you're doing. If you've dropped a couple sizes, feel great, lots of energy, BP normal, but haven't lost much weight....don't worry. You got what you needed.

She looks good but I always prefer to lose more first before beginning weight training for this very reason. Thats just my opinion though she doesnt have to look like me I do not look better nor worse. I enjoy being a very small/thin version of myself and then pack on the firm and the muscles . I have been weight training since I was 14 and i enjoy to get lowest in weight for my goals first. But as I said shes the same amt of beautiful. I just find this thrill of seeing my naked body so lean and tight and i feel for my life I want to be a minimilist and being a light weight package of myself feels more like me. But bones are eh so i pack on the muscle from that. Im 5'9 i like to get to 125 then put 8 lbs of pure muscle on! This girl is beautiful her and I are proof that you must do you!

I agree, but I don't think that was the main point. The whole "weight is a lie" doesn't mean that you shouldn't care about your weight if you're very fat, just that you can be heavy and muscular and there's a big difference

No it doesn't. 1lb of muscle weighs the same as 1lbs of fat. 1lbs! The difference is the cubic volume that 1lbs of each take-up. Muscle being denser and smaller in volume.
