32 Comics Featuring The Character Birdfish, Inspired By My Friends And The Conversations I Have With Them (New Pics)
Hey, my name is Adam, I'm 36 and I'm a Polish social media manager in Berlin. You might already know Depression Chicken, my comic character that I introduced here on Bored Panda. Today I want to show you my other protagonist: the Birdfish.
The Birdfish is a funny fish with the legs of a chicken, the Depression Chicken's cynical and sassy, yet lovable friend. He serves up honourless punchlines, but deep down he's a good soul.
If you like my comics, you can follow the Birdfish on Instagram or check out my other posts on Bored Panda - there's Birdfish content there too!

In Case Of Emergency, Lower Your Standards
Birdfish has existed in my Depression Chicken stories since the beginning and, like Chicken, it had its origins in a funny sketch I made during a call at work. It was a fish with chicken legs - I thought it was funny and took this idea with me for my comics. That’s how Birdfish was born, a somewhat cynical but very lovable friend of the Depression Chicken.
Have A Lovely Monday
Birdfish was also inspired by my friends - the conversations I have with them are often good material for my comics. Otherwise, I find my inspiration in Instagram reels and TikToks, which I then adapt for my animations. I also wanted to experiment a bit with artificial intelligence and wrote some comics using Chat GPT. It was more curiosity that got me into it, but I realized that if I use Chat GPT to describe exactly who my protagonists are and what kind of interactions they have, the results can be pretty funny!
Remember Covid?
Happy Birthday
I think a down-to-earth protagonist like Birdfish fits in well with my comics because he can defuse the topic of mental health a little and add a humorous touch. Mental health is an important topic, but I notice in my community that even if people identify with my themes, they can also appreciate a touch of humor.
