Growing up my mom changed the contact paper in the bathroom several times (stick backed, not "good" wall paper). She would let me draw on the walls before putting the new stuff up. I can only imagine the next home owner thinking they would take down the old paper and finding my artwork lol

I saw some post that the father was carpeting a room and then, as a joke, had his wife and daughter lie down on the hardwood floor. He traced their prostrate bodies with a white marker, then put the carpet down. Go ahead, rip the carpet up!

This is nice! I think my (now ex, though not cos of this lol) fiancé painted a penis before the new wallpaper went up in our (now my) bedroom. I have a vague recollection of doing a heart with our initials in, ugh.

Back in 1967 the next door neighbours son in law, prior to decorating, painted a picture of my mother, then aged 27 as a cartoon nude . .. and wrote her name under it....she's 84 and still lives next door. . .I wonder if any subsequent neighbours know she's the same 'Kath'...😁

I love this, and was tempted to do this at the house I owned some years ago. Instead, just left a full newspaper in the attic for the next time someone adds insulation. There was a 1940 one up there when our guy went up. Fun.

When we redid one of our rooms we found a note from the guy who did the ceiling in the 70's, along with a $0.50 pick 3 lottery ticket. I really wish I could find results that old, because it would be wild if he tucked it away as a good luck token and it turned out to have been a winner.
