$5.99 for me in Feb ;72, and I met 'em after the show. Concerts were cheap, albums were expensive.
Load More Replies...I had to know where they were hidden all those years, so I found the Reddit post - "They were stuck in between the side of a pull out drawer in his old dresser."
$6.75!!! I just looked up what $7 in 1975 equals to in 2022. (Would let me use decimal points) Apparently it's only just over $37 today. Which for the UK... is £28. I can't get over this. I honestly expected it to be a couple hundred at least. What the hell happened to music concerts to mean that the actual young crazy obsessed fans can't actually afford to go / bankrupt themselves in the process! This is absolutely nuts. And kind of makes me wish I lived in the 60's / 70's. Yes. A lot of horrible s**t happened. But there's also a lot of horrible s**t happening today, so....
I think the main reason is not just inflation, but how much the band grew in popularity and fame. So, while yes, it would be about $37 today, because they lasted so long, kept creating great stuff, and became one of rock and rolls' voices of a generation, the price went way up. I also feel that bands sometimes don't have much of a choice as to how much is charged, not to mention the audiences grew so much, spanning more than one generation of fans. So while albums were much more expensive that a concert back then, now it's the other way around.

Been a long lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely, time.
Load More Replies...I bought a Led Zeppelin CD at a thrift store and found an old ticket inside, hidden between the plastic behind the disc and the paper on the back.
I sas them at the Montreal Forum the same tour. I still ha e my ticket stub.
Wow, that hurts to even look at. Especially given the date - when they were at their prime.
They were also at their highest around that time. That may have been good for creativity, but not so much for technical proficiency. Shortly after seeing them live in '75 I saw them on one of the mid-70's TV concert shows and wasn't impressed, but having also been high for the live concert I hadn't noticed.
Load More Replies...My all-time favorite group! I was 13 when Whole Lotta Love hit the airwaves and I can remember asking my grandmother if it wasn’t the most beautiful song she’d ever heard and was absolutely stunned when she said “No”
Where, was it found? Why didn’t they say, I want to know why it wasn’t found, before, now?
City tax .25??? Where "The Fabulous Forum" is located the city can levy it's own tax? What communist hell hole is that?
I remember getting concert tickets from tickets on about a million years ago! Crazy how cheap it was!
Hey, I remember when concert tix were about $8. That was about 2 and a half hours of minimum wage work. Today, tix are around $100, which is nearly 7 hours of minimum wage work.
I'll bet he never got a second date with who he invited. My tickets got used and are long gone. Just like my date that night. 44years! I was even younger. Three Dog Night plated at my homecoming dance in high school. I was at the movie theater instead. I'm older than dirt all of a sudden. Waitress at the last supper.
Anyone else have a nostalgia moment at 'Ticketron' not 'Ticketmaster" :)? 1st Concert?
IIRC most of my high school era concerts were $7.50 to $8.50, including the 50 cent Ticketron service charge. LZ, Elton John, Slade with early Aerosmith as warm-up, BTO, ZZ Top, Bad Co, and more.
Load More Replies...Sorry people now if it was Glenn Miller tickets I would have been pissed!( very old)
Hey! The seat number is my favorite number and the concert date is my birthday!

Be careful with old artist supplies (even crayons). Some of them can have dangerous ingredients. Lead, for example. The kinds of ingredients in some colours are unreal. Arsenic, mercury, chromium, radioactive materials... and then there are the morally objectionable ones, like 'Mummy Brown'- made from real, ground up mummies! Or Indian Yellow - made from the urine of cows only fed mango leaves and water, which slowly killed them. I'm sure there are more, but the point is; be cautious!

Load More Replies...When my dad was a teenager he had a white VW Beetle. He had to sell it. Years later when he was on his 30's, he bought a white beetle, while cleaning the interior he found a water bill from my grandparents house stuffed behind the fire extinguisher. It was his old beetle!!!
We still HAVE of Beetle. 1964 . Bought new and continuous registration though they made us change the number plate when we moved States, It now has "historic registration" as we wanted to keep it 'original' :-) Lovely cars :-)
Load More Replies...The closest thing I have to any of this is that under the kitchen island there are the names of the people that have lived in my house and when they lived here. It only goes back to the mid 90s, but I think it's neat.
History is absolutely astonishing. Hope to find something like the things on this list one day
The small theater I'm doing a play with has this thing where the cast of the play will sign the walls of the backstage with their name, play, and date. The oldest signature I found was from 1972!

I lost a magnifying glass in a cow pasture as a kid and found it 15 years later just sitting on top of the ground.
This is why, since my parents and I are renovating their house rn, I have taken the time to scrawl nice notes under each section of floor we're replacing. We get to know that there's love in the walls and floors, and hopefully someday, someone will find it and it'll brighten their day.
