My 82-Year-Old Father Just Gave Me A Collection Of His Generation Memes/Hard Copy Internet
My Dad, 82 years old, gave me a huge collection of his generation of memes, hard copy Internet so to say.
He collected these over his 30+ years of work since the 1960s.

My father had this same drawing on the wall next to his drafting board, in a small metal removing design and build shop in Flint, Michigan . . . circa 1969 . . . kinda predates software development.
This is the classic standard right here folks....long passed by industrial maintenance mechanics. (I still have my dad's copy, and it hangs on my tool box, just as it did his.)
The version I had at my college newspaper was "We the unwilling, led by the unqualified, have been doing the unbelievable for so long with so little we now attempt the impossible with nothing."
Oh man, this gag paper comic was at a job I had 28 years ago! Mary & Melony office managers at the TPF in beautiful Lake Tawakoni, TX!
Sayings that would not fly in 2018: Before you attack her, wrap your wacker
LOL! I'm a Libra, but I'm also a male gay artist in RL {although while I am sick, it's not with that} this hit the penny on the head!
That's from a comedy group called The Capitol Steps. They have a podcast and albums.
"Beer stains wash out" as opposed to...? Also, wow, is this ever gross and misogynistic. No wonder you're so dependent on beer; you don't know how to treat a woman!
Cucumbers, okay, I get, but tacos? Man, you're not going to get much from a taco, unless you're a fan of some spicy burn.
Oh, yeah, we had tons of these! Some folk even kept binders full of these in their desks.
This didn't make the list, but I remember seeing it in my dad's office 50+ years ago: "My boss must think I'm a mushroom. He keeps me in the dark and feeds me b******t all day."
I used to keep a binder with these sort of things in it and put them randomly on the work noticeboard. Ah, the memories.
I suddenly feel very old. I'm only 35, yet I remember printing out 'memes' like these in highschool & then in my first workplace staffrooms to share.
I remember when my dad brought these back from work, it was a good day. We used to laugh at them around the dinner table. One joke. SMH
I liked items #2 and #5 especially! Thanks for the good technical humour! <3 <3
