We used to roam about the whole neighbourhood and even beyond... and our parents were grateful. Of course, we were taught about safety. We have stayed at home when TV meant just one or two channels. This is Pre-90s India

i used to bike with all my neighborhood friends. this woyld happen often. then i moved and now i have no friends close enough to do this :'( (around 2017-18)

And stickers for reading books. I can't remember exactly how the program worked, but Pizza Hut definitely sponsored some sort of literacy reward program in the 90s.
