There’s A New Trend Where People Share Unusual Friends Visiting Their Windows, And We Can’t Get Enough
Some unexpected visitors at your window are more welcome than others. Pretty much all human beings are a creepy no. Maybe you have seen that menacing kangaroo creepily tapping the window with its huge claws? Hell no!
Birds, on the other hand are generally a beautiful sight to behold, waiting patiently at your window and looking inquisitively inside. Some people (known as ‘twitchers’), go to great lengths to get a sight of some of these birds, travelling around the world for just a glimpse. These lucky folks don’t even have to leave their couch!
We here at Bored Panda have compiled a list of times when birds and humans became buddies, and our feathered friends began to stop by for a visit. Scroll down below to check it out, and feel free to add your own ‘twitcher’ pics!

I thought the exact same thing. Are these parrots washing the window? Du-oh! LOL
Load More Replies...please stop feeding bread to parrots - they could get sick (diarrhea, vomit) and maybe die if they get too much of it. better are fruit or nuts.
I totally agree. It's wonderful to be lucky enough to interact with wildlife. Even better to feed them something healthy :)

Load More Replies...In the late 80's, Melbourne, FL built a shiny new building wut lots of mirrored windows and steel. It was occupied top to bottom by lawyers. Within 6 months of it being built and occupied, a committee of vultures took up residence as proceeded to eat their meals ob the roof of the portico, scattering bits of bone, fur, innards, and blood everywhere. I would swear this is a picture taken from an office in that building...

There was a time when I lived near a zoo, these guys used to hang at my bedroom's window. Kept feeding them with papaya almost every day in their breeding season (when they were released to... errr.... mate...duh...)

I LOVE birds, not a huge fan of cockatoos, but this would be awesome!
I love Cockatoos. Having this happen would be a freaking dream come true.
Load More Replies...Remind me of Beauty, a cockatoo in the Zoo club at which I attend lectures. Everyone say he's so darn cute and loving. With me, he behaves like Nigel from "Rio", hissing and looking murderously.
A huge black cockatoo used to wake me up every morning when I lived in Perth... on time every morning like an alarm clock. Hated it... not the best thing to listen to first thing in the morning
It's so weird to see them in their natural habitat instead of being caged in a pet shop. Sad.
In which country are they in pet shops? That's weird!

They look frightened. Might be good to talk to them quietly and tell them that they are beautiful and other kind things so they relax. But only if you mean it.

No she looks like “I trust you with my children” which is exactly what she is doing by bringing the person her babies.

I See Your 10th Floor Friend, And Raise You To The 12th Floor!
My grandma lives on the 8th floor and always complains about pigeons roosting in the flowerpots on her balcony and destroying her plants - until one day she found a seagull messily disembowelling one of the pigeons on her balcony, at which point she realised that pigeons aren't really that bad after all...
This same exact thing happened in my backyard on my patio a few years ago. I heard this awful screeching sound and went to go look and the hawk was sitting there with the pigeon he just attacked and killed on my patio. I had to use the hose to rinse off the blood when they left!

Though A Pigeon On The Window Sill Is Not Unusual But It Was Injured And We Brought It In...... It's In Love With Us Now
A Loving Look.
Saw a lot of pigeon sex. Boy stamps on girl's head to start things off
My neighbours complained to the housing office that I was feeding the pigeons. "Of course she is. We give her the feed. She's the only person said yes to having a trap in the window box." One male pigeon had 4 females caught one after the other, not him. Baby pigeons have cute punk hairdos. The spikes were too skinny for our wide window sills. Pigeon security fences to keep nervous birds from falling off the edge. Had to put trellis inside my windows because if they were open, my flat was investigated by curious birds ( kept on the inner side of the sill by aforementioned spikes)

At The Kitchen Window, Just A Very Young Black Bird.
It was a young black bird. They used to nest on our back garden. This was one of our juveniles. Robins in the uk are a third of the size!
Caught In The Act
It is extremely rare to see ( city) pigeons' babies / eggs. They are just that good at hiding their nests from danger on the ground.
Hid them in my window box. Checked twice daily for eggs and removed them. One time they kept out of sight under slight overhang. Since I did not know when the eggs were laid I left them and next day saw my first (and only) baby pigeons

I Too Have A Feathered Friend, Who Often Came By My Office Window. Today Was The Last Time
But everyone gave the pilot a hard time about posting and this is ok? Smh.
I had this happen a cou[ple of times some years ago. 1st was a kestrel which dive-bombed the window a couple of times - intent on our (terrified) canary. It ended up stunned and confused sitting on the ground for a few minutes, then shook itself and flew off. Needless to say we kept the canary away from the window after that. The other occasion I came home to find an impression identical to that above on the same window - pigeon or dove?. The natural grease/oil on their feathers leaves a spookily perfect likeness. There was no sign of a dead or injured bird anywhere nearby, so luckily this sort of thing probably happens just as they are taking off and they don't hit the glass too hard.
When I used to work in the 4th floor, we had a hawk that keep crashing into the window full force. We didnt know if he thought his reflection was another hawk or what he was doing, but he did it about three times before he flew away. I was shocked he didn't die or maybe he did??
They do die from impacts. https://www.allaboutbirds.org/why-birds-hit-windows-and-how-you-can-help-prevent-it/

Wow, seems the hawk-type birds are quite common thing above 10th floor. I didn't expect to see as many. It must be awesome to be able to look at them so up close. And better feeling knowing they are free, ulike when visiting a ZOO.
I caught an osprey, red tail hawk, and maybe a barbary falcon too :)

I work in shop. We get them in here once in a while. I was gonna draw a bird and put it on my window (office inside shop with window to shop) and submit it. Naw.... too lazy. That requires me drawing, getting up, tape art to window, walk back to the the desk to get tape, realize you work in an auto shop, what the hell do we need tape for, can't find tape. lose interest... wait what was I doing? Oh yeah, Oil Change...
I had a sneaking suspicion birds flew and landed places. Now I have photographic evidence.
If you would like your feathered office friend's species identified please post his picture on my Facebook Page: Britt the Bird Expert. I provide this service free for the fun of it.
Anyone else notice how many parrots there are in these photos? (Mitred/cherry head conure, lories, cockatoos, macaws, ringneck, ect?) Knowing my pet parrot, she would totally pull something like this :)
