Being a cake decorator but not professionally I can see the skill and work in this. I bet she had 40 to 50 hours just in decorating. Some things were made ahead such as the sculptures. It truly is a work of art. Your friend is truly talented.

The darkest brown is the tastiest. They are from French Maran hens. James Bond fav breakfast egg. The moss green ones are from Isbar or olive eggers. Green-blue is from Cream Legbar or Amereucana. My fav is Maran eggs. They have thicker shell, dark orange yolk, creamy taste and egg-y. Once you taste them, you wouldn't want to buy store-bought eggs anymore.

Drooling at this picture! Perfectly steamed not to split! ...for those who have never tried them, they are a soft ball of pork mince, ginger, spring onion and seasoning, floating in delicious pork jus, encased in a thin dumpling wrapper. Notoriously easy to rip when picking it up this losing the amazing "soup". Normally you'd hold it over a spoon to catch these.... I inevitably burn my chin every few months as I dig in too fast! Quintessential Chinese cooking at its finest.

this type is the same batter as the kind cooked in a rice cooker bit it is made differently. The batter is poured into rings on a griddle or frying pan that is over somewhat low heat. Once the bottom is browned, the dough has puffed up and set, the ring is removed and the pancake is turned over to continue cooking and browning on the other side.
