Their songs stood the test of time, their dance moves were flawless, and their fashion choices became iconic.

In the '90s, if you rocked bright colors and loud patterns, you were totally on point. But if you were a kid or preteen sporting Limited Too or dELiA*s fashion, you were a certified fashion guru. It always felt like these stores had the inside scoop, leading the way with trends like the tee-under-the-tank combo and those nifty convertible pants that could magically become capris or shorts.

I learnt soooo much from this as a kid. Before the internet proper, and brimming with videos and audio clips. I got lost for hours in this. Now, kids learn from social media - hence the degradation of the human intellect over the last ten years.

Movies On Vhs! Which One Would You Watch From This Collection?
My parents bought The Lion King as soon as it came out on VHS and put it on top of the tv, saying it wasn't ours but a birthday present for someone. I carefully unfolded the cellophane so it didn't rip and cut the security sticker right in the middle and would watch chunks of it every morning before school. Turns out it was for us and the parents were just a-holes.
Load More Replies...Fantasia, hands down. Toccata and Fugue in D Minor, and Night on Bald Mountain for the WIN!
Definitely some underappreciated ones in that picture! I loved Fantasia and The Fox and The Hound.
I'd smoke a joint and watch all of them. Today's "new" Disney socks so much.
One thing I'm proud of - I have all of the Disney classics on original VHS tapes (my parents bought them on release)
The real question is, which one WOULDN’T I watch? And the answer is, none.
Pete's Dragon is still my favorite Disney movie ever! The sound track is amazing. If you've never seen the original version I can't recommend it highly enough.
I actually didn't watch a lot of animated movies growing up, I was the youngest so I had to watch whatever movies my older siblings had and rented. We were pretty broke so buying or renting movies were a majority vote amongst the older kids. I was watching horror, action and rom cons while every other kid my age was seeing Mary Poppins and the Lion King.
Ope, there's Mulan barely visible in the bottom right. My personal favorite
From that stack, Peter Pan was a favourite in our home, even when the kids are now teens
the Mum + Dumbo when she was locked up did my heart in as a kid.
Load More Replies...My grandma has like, all of those. The vhs doesn’t like to cooperate though so we can’t watch them
I had a stack of these well into my teenaged years. The stack was *almost* as tall as I was
My dad used to By each new one that came out and the family would sit down and watch It that night. I miss them times.
Yep, we had several. Anybody else remember going to the video store and RENTING a VHS player?
Newsies!!! (Not in pic) Came out in 1992, absolutely one of my favorites!
Pinocchio was released on VHS the same week as Black Cauldron was released in theaters, and was blamed for Black Cauldron bombing in theaters. The attitude of parents was: why spend the money taking their kids to a theater when they could just buy the movie on VHS? That's when Disney started their "Vault" where they stopped production of most titles, and only produced a select few titles at any given time - it was all to get people to go back to the theaters. Ironically, Disney refuses to learn from their past. Disney+ is partly to blame for their recent struggles at the box office, because parents are thinking: why spend the money taking their kids to the theater when they could just wait a couple of months for the movie to come to Disney+.
Winnie the Pooh. Pooh and Christopher Robin's voices took me to another land. I can hear them in my head at this very moment.
I still have most of these, even The Little Mermaid one that has only like 50,000 copies bc the artist drew penises in the castles, lol.
We still own all of these movies. Tucked into boxes in the basement.
We owned nearly all of these. I don't even remember what happened to them.
Had 2 copies of most of them, one for the kids and one for their grandpa.
These are def VHS tapes, not DVDs... if you look closely near the bottom of the binding it says vhs.

Before the era of one-click streaming, family movie nights required some serious planning. You'd hop into your mom's minivan, head to Blockbuster, and wander through the aisles until something caught your eye. But renting a movie back then wasn't a chore—it was an adventure. For many, a visit to Blockbuster was a treat, and the excitement of discovering if they had your desired movie was a thrill. And if they didn't, choosing an alternative meant taking a chance based on a plot description rather than watching a trailer.

Remember The Gameboy Camera And Printer? I Totally Forgot About This! Did You Have One?
A lot of these are from the 80's. It's like they kept all the same pictures and only updated the title.
I remember all this stuff but we was hella poor so didn't have any of it. Obviously the ones from school I experienced. Good times huh?
Good stuff! Some of the best are applicable to growing up in the 70s, 80s or 90s. I graduated from High School in '86. Bikes were def a good way to figure out where the gang was! Doubt many 90s kids used cassette tapes. Conversely, having a CD file was very unlikely before the 90s.
*opens BP* let's see, is there anything fun on here toda- OH NOSTALGIC 90s PICS :-D
I know some of these are pre 90's but surely that shows things back then were more durable than a lot of the stuff these days.
Most of these didn't go out of style/production; you just grew up!
I understand I grew up poor, because 'rich people' had this stuff, not us.
That's what I said the first time I saw a Gen Z doing the Macarena.
