There was a time when you were forced to buy an entire album, 8-track, cassette, or CD just to get the one or two songs you liked. What did you buy for what song (Song and artist) and did you like or dislike the entire album, CD, etc.?

I stumbled across a song called "Like Porpoises" by a band I had never heard of: Blessing in Disguise. I liked the song so much that I bought their CD "Morpheus". My favourite song will always be "Like Porpoises", but I also really liked most of the other songs on that CD.
I bought the John Wick soundtrack just got the song Think. I think it has a solid 2 other songs (I wanna say they are LED spiral and Red Circle but I may have made that up) but the rest kinda sounds like knock-off Marilyn Manson which is kinda meh. Think however, is a great song.
Got the album "Happiness in darkness" by Gothminister on the basis of one song , " Freak", and it's actually my least favorite song on the whole album.... It fits with the flow of the whole album but certainly not a stand out track compared with the other songs....
Actually, another one....
Got the album "Nova" by Sylvaine, on the suggestion of a single song...... And now have every album. I have one favorite song, but can no longer differentiate songs on each album..... They're all so awesome!! So the album " Nova" has become a single 50 minute song, a musical journey unto itself.... As the album "wistful" is a 1 hour song.....
It's been a long time that an artist has had this effect on me...( probably not since " The sensual world" by Kate Bush..)
Just reflects how transcendental music can be.....
Do you remember Eminem's 'Stan'? It's sprinkled with this artist named Dido. I thought I liked that song so I might like all the others. I bought her CD. The only song I liked was the one about "The teas gone cold; I wonder why I got out of bed at all."
