This Guy Tried To Ban Gay People From Entering His Store And It Backfired Hilariously

Unfortunately, Casey, spell check doesn't always help much as dyslexia is about far more than poor spelling ability. My brother makes such a mess of a word sometimes that the computer has no idea what he means and he can't always pick the right one out of a list. He can't even find a word in the dictionary if the first few letters are too jumbled. They leap all over the screen/page and just make no sense sometimes. He can also get a word wrong but that is spelled correctly if used in another context. Dyslexia is a bit too complicated to be solved that way. I doubt this guy is dyslexic but he is probably poorly educated which isn't always the individuals fault. Anyway, I just feel sad for my brother who feels like an idiot when people jump all over spelling and grammar with no understanding that for some it isn't something they can control.

I think it's more the fact that he's a bloody idiot!

Hey Bubba... that's funny! I did think about that Molly. I wondered if the sign makers thought he was so unpleasant that he deserved an incorrectly spelt sign! He might have ordered it online where the onus would be on him to get it right as they tend to follow instructions literally to the letter. Chances are none of them could spell sadly.

Good point about maybe having dyxlexia-- but surely they ALL don't have it, and someone might say, "Hey Bubba, you spelled that wrong. Git me a pencil so I can fix it fer ya!"

We do in the UK as well. There is (or was) a case in the supreme court recently where a Christian bakers were appealing a decision twice made where they were found to have acted in a discriminatory manner and were fined for refusing to bake a cake promoting same sex marriage. The shop owner featured here wouldn't be allowed to do this as he is "displaying or circulating discriminatory literature or posters". It can't be called free speech if it's a hate crime. I read that the US supreme court is considering a similar claim from a gay couple who were refused a wedding cake by a bakery in Colorado in 2012.

Free speech and freedom to associate or NOT associate for any asinine reason you choose is a natural right that the Constitution *was designed to* protect, but sadly it doesn't these days. With the creation of "federally protected classes" the law will force you to associate with certain people even if its against your own will. The Constitution was not created in order to enforce "social justice", "social equality" or "social morality", but the reality is that its being used for exactly that. We're well on our way to a society where the state will tell us exactly what to think and how to act at ever turn and the sad thing is that the majority of the population is happy as hell for it.
