On March 22, NY Governor announced "New York State on pause" executive order, and since then all New Yorkers have begun to live under a "new normal" lifestyle with a mask, social distancing, and constant disinfecting. I’ve been living in the city that never sleeps for many years, so to see it go into sleep mode for the first time is a surreal experience. Therefore, I decided to take my camera and drive around the city and post one photo per day on my IG to document the changes in the NY lifestyle under the COVID-19 impact through my lens.

Wow. This time of year, there's usually skaters everywhere, and students, and musicians. Passers-by could even get a little of that "School's almost done!" vibe.

I have so many questions about this one - what is the significance of the large hats on the crowd of people? Are the kids changing direction to run from them? I need some context please.

New Yorker here, it's just as eerie as the pictures make it seem. Most nights before this, I would fall asleep to the sounds of drunk college kids and cars outside my window, and I didn't even think twice about it. Now it's somewhat scary to hear silence for some of the first times in my life.
I did something like this 4 weeks ago, though not with a professional camera, and half my pics are of crowded public areas without social distancing in Manhattan
I hope the vaccine and drugs can be developed soon so that I can go out as I want without any masks. We've bought some disposable masks from epidemiology.amotx.com and almost used them up. The newly ordered ones are still on their way. I think living with the senior, we have to pay more attention to protect ourselves from the coronavirus.
