That’s pretty trippy. EDIT : so I guess some people don’t know the slang meaning for trippy. Coz I have said this comment a few times in the past and it always gets downvoted. Trippy in slang is an adjective meaning cool, freaky, crazy, weird, groovy, amazing, or all of the above.

To me, the great majority of these tattoos only show a great deal of bad taste.

If you change your mind....Very difficult to cover up with clothes. Re-do would be horrible. *Shudders*. Yeah, yeah , I get it. People can do whatever they want with their own bodies. Really none of my business. *shudders again*.

I see amazing artistry in a lot of these, but I can't get over the placement as being a bad idea for long-term happiness for many people. I guess it's because looking back at those things I loved and cherished in my 20's - most are embarrassingly stupid today and I can't imagine being happy today with a design I chose back then.

Whoever's gone through downvoting so many of these should be ashamed of themselves. Just because it's not to your taste, you don't like the concept of the tattoos, or whatever else, doesn't mean it's bad, ugly, or meaningless to the person it's on. I would never wear stiletto heels, but I don't go around complaining about how they're ugly and stupid and the people who DO wear them are idiots. If you don't like someone's personal choices about their own appearance, keep moving. No one's forcing you to look at them.

I got a tattoo on the back of my neck when I was 35 and it wasn't really that common of course now that I'm a great grandma it's a little odd to tell the grandkids why I got them and what they represent

I get it, most of you wouldn't get a neck tattoo. That's your choice, but the vitriol against those who do have neck tattoos is alarming. These tattoos are amazing and mean something to each of these people. I see nothing here to say they are more or less responsible than people without neck tattoos. In fact, I'd rather have a person with a neck tattoo move next door to me than some of the lowlifes I see in the news lately.

This is like the issue of abortion: it's up to each person to decide for themselves whether to have it or not, and not to some arrogant churchgoers who think they can decide that for them! If you don't want a tattoo or an abortion - don't have it, but you have no right to prevent others from having it.

Tattoo artists KNOW that ink bleeds and all the details blur in a few years. Why do they accept the work in the first place? Just imagine all those old, wrinkly necks covered in solid black blurs.......ugh.
