Anyone recall a show many years ago, I think it was either the Discovery Channel or on the History Channel that showed what would happen to our planet if all humans all of the sudden disappeared from existence. If I remember correctly, I think they said it would take approximately 250,000 years for all signs of our civilization to be completely gone.

Everything created on Earth eventually goes back to that earth. As it should.

Life uhh.. finds a way.

I love to see nature taking back over, but the amount of things that humans just abandon makes me sick. To just build places and then leave the mess behind after they're no longer used is terrible.

As romantic as these pics look, so many make me so angry about the waste! We waste SO MUCH - material, things, space. Is it really so hard to clear out an office? I'm sure someone would have had use for that chair. I sort of envy countries wiht so much space - where I live, most of these places would not exist, long term, simply because we have no space to waste.

Tho some are interesting, many look photoshopped.

If you enjoyed these photos you should watch a film/documentary called "Life after people". The orginal I think appeared in the History Channel, and later they decided to make a series. I didn't see the series but the film is wonderful. It shows how nature will slowly conquer everything if humans disappeared overnight. It's not depressing; it's just relaxing: life will go on without us.

I think the “funny” little comments under all the pictures and subjects Bored Panda prints shouldn’t be allowed. Some people think these are so cool. They’re not.
