My name is Susan Hartman, I’m an amateur photographer who is learning something new every day.
I love nature and all that surrounds me so I combine this passion with photography. Here are the results!

Thank you all for taking the time to like my photo's. I really appreciate your comments.
This photo shows the habit I love most about squirrels! They curl their little front paws and hold them close to their body. (This is for when its cold, they keep their toes warm up against their body)
Awwww these are all so beautiful and adorable! How you get these shots I have no idea, but I do know that these are absolutely stunning!
Amateur photographer????? These pics are better then a lot of professionals!!! Love them
Charlie likes to sit on Fred's head while he washes his hands. Fred normally doesn't mind but today, Charlie had a bad batch of nuts...
This is an amazing shot! I have found it really hard to get good photos of hummingbirds!
Chester sits very still as he suspects that he is a piñata full of seeds.
Ohmygoodness! He is totally cute and I want to pinch his little cheeks!!!
You are such an amazingly talented person . ALL of your photos are extremely beautiful. I am sure a long and fruitful career in photography awaits you. Good luck and God bless.
So kind of you Nicky. Thank you so much. Many blessings to you.

Hi Susan. Just here to give a thumbs up, loved your pictures! :) keep posting ;)
These are beautiful :) May I ask if you use photoshop and what camera? (just because I too am an amateur but don't want to use photoshop because it looks tricky ha ha!)
Thank you Tess. I don't use photoshop except to do minor details like contrast and things.
Load More Replies...This is why you can´t be "professional" in anything artistic, the passion will simply be there, animals are always cute but the professional photos of animals tend to be a bit to photogenic and almost like objects, it removes the quirky out of the animal, most of these photos have kept the little weird things that animals do that makes the photos interesting.
Nikon d7100 most of the time a 300mm lens
Load More Replies...Thank you so much. Happy you enjoy them.
Load More Replies...You do a fabulous job of capturing the softness and the delicacy of each little creature!
Amateur?? These photos are sick! You must have a really good camera. Some of them are a bit blurry but the closeness you got to the animals is amazing!
Thank you. I think they are blurry because of the pixels this site request. Normally they are 700 x 700
Load More Replies...Maybe unpaid professional would be more accurate. Good stuff. Good luck.
Please share more! Do you have any photos of reptiles, horses, cats and dogs?
Fantastic photos! Please make a calendar for next year - I'd buy it!
Hi Susan! That is something I am itching to do! Those pictures are amazing! I love taking pictures of animals and nature. I am a very creative person and I have a lot of creative ideas I want to do, but I can only do them one at a time, hehe. More power to you! 😊
