Recently I caught up and heard an inspiring story from a close friend of mine. We once met at a concept art class in 2014, worked in a team, and became friends there. We seem to be different in styles, she is a very “fresh” person who always seems too positive and a bit naive, a pure artist soul – I think, and I was the opposite. With all the differences between us, I realized that we deeply wanted the same thing – “freedom”, and that desire has connected us together.
Two years ago, she decided to quit her job, but I wasn’t surprised, I knew all the long time that she was always after freedom and the “jobs” can’t satisfy her in that way. She and her husband were prepared for their start-up for a year, went from the 0 to the present, I surely have been told that they’re designing the puzzles but with the sensitivity in competition between artists/business, I barely asked in detail.

Recently, through the talks sharing the difficulty in working as a self-employed and small business, I finally discovered clearly (she opened up) what she and her husband are doing. Going from surprising to admiration, was exactly my emotional process.
Her creativity is not limited to the “job requirements”, it’s filled with passion, and that’s when her artworks speak better. It’s true to say When you truly want something and go after it without limiting yourself with disbelief, the universe will make it happen!
Their first store on Amazon is doing ok, customers love their puzzles, but there are all about challenges and opportunities for small businesses that they will need to pass and win. As a friend, I truly want to support them somehow, and hope could share her story with you all.
Yes, I’ve tried to play their Jigsaw puzzles, it’s more difficult than I first thought, under 300 pieces but no key piece rule, and all the piece shapes are different, which is very interesting but also “stressfully” exciting.
As an experienced shopaholic – someone who buys anything, I really appreciate the materials and print quality.
Love the color of the wooden box and the burlap, it’s simple but formal
This is one of her design, the Bee!
This took a jigsaw puzzle player around 4-6 hours to complete on the 1st try and go to 2 hours on other attempts but it took me days to give up and try again. And this design is said to be “easier to breath” than other designs that only have under 300 pieces of puzzles.
This design is called Impossible. In real experience, it took 5 hours to complete a small part of it!
As a small business, they don’t have thousands of product designs yet but I hope one day will hear that news.
