I understand. For a bit the same reason I feel super stressed and get angry if someone just touches my food and takes some without asking. Especially with their hands. Or double dip in my stuff. For me, the food is ruined then.

Totally understand this, OmBoyGanesh. One of the lingering issues of my ED is that I still, at 43, struggle with eating in front of others. I don't want to be seen eating by anyone, including myself so on the rare occasion that I go to a restaurant there better not be a mirror on the wall. If I do happen to be comfortable enough with you to eat in front of you, do NOT touch my food and do NOT make any comments or ask questions about what I'm eating. Otherwise it goes into the trash. And I loathe the idea of food waste so much that it contributes to my need to just eat in the middle of the night by myself. I feel you on this one big time. Hope you are doing well now.
