I Am Moving Out Of The Netherlands After 3 Years, So I Present A Collection Of My Favorite Photos Of This Place
In just a few days I am moving out of the Netherlands where I have lived for the last three years. During these years, I've met many wonderful people, made countless memories and, obviously, taken hundreds of photos. I had a look at my archive and selected 15 of my favorite pictures.
These three years in the Netherlands were a really intense time in terms of photography. Sometimes photography was taking all of my free time: every spring I was spending dozens of hours taking photos of tulips. I learned to like the Dutch coast and use frequent weather changes to my advantage; I found out that Dutch towns and villages are a perfect playground for cityscape photography.
Below I present a collection of my favorite photos. I will surely come back to them each time I will miss the Netherlands.

March 2018. Windmill De Adriaan in Haarlem.
May 2017. Zaanse Schans is one of the most popular photography spots in the Netherlands. To take a unique photo one needs to be lucky and get amazing weather conditions.
It takes, luck and talent for a great shot, love this, perfect !!!
October 2018. Amsterdam canals are beautiful during the night and are a must-see and must-photograph point of every weekend trip.
October 2017. Rainbow houses in Houten, near Utrecht.
April 2017. Spring is the busiest time in the Netherlands. Thousands of tourists (including landscape photographers) visit the tulip fields.
February 2018. Basilica of Saint Nicholas in Amsterdam. One of the first views tourists get upon the arrival to Amsterdam by a train.
August 2018. Fifteen minutes break between one rain and another, and absolutely gorgeous sunset on Bloemendaal beach.
Fabulous, such beauty, excellent shot, would have framed and hung on my wall !!!
August 2017. Hills covered in blooming heather.
July 2018. 90 minutes of the movement of the stars. It is hard to take nightscapes in one of the most densely populated countries in the world. To take this photo I spent a night at the beach on Texel Island.
September 2017. Lighthouse in Marken, an important navigational point for sailors on Markermeer.
September 2018. Amsterdam canals a few minutes after sunset.
I am satisfied with all the pastel-y colours and pretty lights.
October 2016. One of the first photos I have taken in Amsterdam. It was taken only a few meters from the place where I lived for the first month.
I would want the room up in the dormer in the white building in the center. My knees would probably die, but my soul would thrive.
July 2019. While walking in Amsterdam I met one of my favorite landscape photographers - Albert Dros. I recommend visiting his website, some of the photos are mindblowing.
Amsterdam is so different from The Netherlands. The country gets identified with it's overcrowded, over-yuppiefied capital. By all means, go there, but realize that it is probably the least dutch place in the Netherlands you can find.
Why are you moving out when there are so many great things to see! (I don't live in the Netherlands BTW) Also, really cool photos!
3 years in Holland and all but 2 pictures from the same province. :( There are so many more beautiful places.
For someone like myself , no longer able to travel, therefore, seeing these incredible photos, it's such a treat, one can imagine being in these glorious places, thank you for sharing all of the beauty you captured !!!
Nice photo's! Next time you visit The Netherlands try to visit Delft.
