Even as "that father" whom everyone thinks had nothing to do with the process, does nothing in the process, and never really cares like the mom (all are WRONG by the way) I go fed up with all of those comments. Often to the point me be being very rude and blunt in return. Although, the sad part is that when I fed formula to the baby I was applauded, but when mom did it she was insulted....she wasn't producing milk, so is the baby supposed to starve? Why is it ok for me and not her? I mean, neither of us produced food for the child, so....they got earfuls too. I could go on but wont.

I think new parents quickly realize that stool softener is not needed for babies after a diaper or,two....

It is totally ok to ask for help. If the first person/people/service you ask do not help, or make you feel bad. Then ask a different person. Humans used to raise babies as parts of large extended families for reasons.

If you are lucke, the baby/ toddler has it two days after or before you. Stomach flu is not that bad. It only lasts a day or two. Personally I hate a cold more because you are out of sorts for days on end

I got pregnant this time around while my toddler had a sleepover at Nan and Pop's. TMI. Moreso when you consider it's the only time he'd been able to get near me this year lol

The whole point of this one went soaring over your head now didn't it.

We never co-slept, it was hard work at times but we never neglected our boy, but accepted that we would have to wake up more often to tend to him... Fast forward 1 year and all of the co sleeping parents are struggling badly while our boy sleeps through the night on his own. We chose the hard work early and they've chosen the hard work now.. neither is cruel on the child or worse than the other, it's simply different.

both are doing just fine. you can sleep in bed with your child, and you can also let the child sleep by himself.

well sometimes, especially with older children like toddlers, you have to let go a little bit and let them fall asleep without mom. but everyone has their own way, and that is just fine. (:

Sometimes when your kid is fed, changed, clean, etc, its best to let them self soothe

I agree and disagree. While it is good to love your child AND SHOW IT, those sleeping trainings can be really damaging to babys psyche.

Yeah, cat owners too. Hell, I imagine bird, lizard, and hamster owners do it too.

Why? it is common sense....after baby body exists, and some never lose it. Some try and try and just can't, others breathe and look fit in 3 days. Just like any other workout, it is different for each person! Why does this need a special conversation? Moreover, the mother should take time to heal BEFORE trying to change that!

I think at first it was to scare little kids. I know that at my old summer camp the song continued into verses where the person gets slowly eaten alive and the older campers and the mean counselors would sing to freak us out. Needless to say, I no longer go to that summer camp.
