Motherhood still amazes me and I have yet to run out of funny moments and inspiration ever since I started drawing my relatable comics.
One of the best parts of my cartoon journey so far is the people I meet and the stories I hear. I am truly humbled and flattered by all the direct messages and comments from moms all over the world sharing their stories and everyday problems.
Some even reach out via DM to confide in me and share their struggles, as well as their darkest but also brightest moments in raising kids.
There are so many different forms of moms, dads, and parenting ideas out there and I feel very grateful to be in this circle.
Take a look at my previous post on Bored Panda here.

Once we tried to bottle feed, being new parents we boiled the nipple first...baby is getting upset, the crying furiously. The nipple hole got sealed shut lol. Back to my bewbs.
Even as "that father" whom everyone thinks had nothing to do with the process, does nothing in the process, and never really cares like the mom (all are WRONG by the way) I go fed up with all of those comments. Often to the point me be being very rude and blunt in return. Although, the sad part is that when I fed formula to the baby I was applauded, but when mom did it she was insulted....she wasn't producing milk, so is the baby supposed to starve? Why is it ok for me and not her? I mean, neither of us produced food for the child, so....they got earfuls too. I could go on but wont.
Load More Replies...Before formula existed, a good amount of mothers who couldn't breast feed would lose their babies to malnourishment. This is the whole reason formula was invented. So if you scoff at a family that uses it, you're essentially saying their kid is better off dead. So yeah.
Don't be afraid to tell people like that to shove off! Doesn't matter if its friends or family. They can be supportive or they can be shown the door!
I read a story about a baby that died because it wasn't getting enough fluid and the mom thought formula is oh so bad. Yes, breast milk is best but sometimes, it just doesn't work. Or the mome takes meds or or or - the child will still grow up normally.
I think new parents quickly realize that stool softener is not needed for babies after a diaper or,two....
Load More Replies...I am distressed about this happening to me. I think it's hard enough to take care of my baby when I have a simple cold, so how the hell do you manage when you have stomach flu?
You will manage. All moms have so far. Don't worry. You got this!!
Load More Replies...I thought my 33 hours deserved a Guinness book, but 56 sure deserve a statue. OMG, how many kids you got 😜
Load More Replies...Yups, that happened to me. Water broke at 5am, my son came out at 5pm.
GOD im just 3wks away from my 2nd delivery and this post made me remember my 1st one WAY TOOOO MUCH😦😦😦
And then there is Anežka... Anežka is my friend. she was pregnant. She gave birh to a boy 10min. after watter break at home (the ambulance arrived 5 minutes after the birth.... She is one lucky b***h
I have two kids and they have same problem. The water have broken but the baby came out 48 hours after that. Both of them using induction. I never forget how it feel .... so sick ...
I got pregnant this time around while my toddler had a sleepover at Nan and Pop's. TMI. Moreso when you consider it's the only time he'd been able to get near me this year lol
Load More Replies...Oh this will get a shitstorm. :( You can see that the Mom on the right does not like what she is doing. So, I agree, she is probably a good Mom, who loves her child. She just listened to the wrong people/ books...
or she just need a minute for herself before dealing with her child
Load More Replies...Co-sleeping in the same bed is the most natural arrangement for Mom and baby. I was completely against this before I became a mom. But after I had my kids, they wouldn't sleep any other way. Point is- we all need sleep and we do what works for Mom and baby. The rest of us shouldn't judge.
Good god people! Stop acting like you know the answers. Whatever they say is right today will be wrong tomorrow and the next generation will judge your choices. We used solving your child's sleep problems with one kid as soon as we could and slept with the other, I can tell you that today they are both healthy well adjusted people. Just because your baby research says something g does not make it right. Again for the cheap seats in the back. Just because they say it's right now, does not make it right forever. p.s. swaddling is now thought to be one of the most dangerous things you can do to a baby. Once upon a time a good swaddle was a marker of excellent parenting.
I was the second Mom... It's hard to hear them cry but my baby girl passed out within 5 minutes of crying. Co-sleeping is OK too as long as you both get a good nights sleep :D
Our doctor once told my wife: "If you love your child, you can do nothing wrong"
I agree and disagree. While it is good to love your child AND SHOW IT, those sleeping trainings can be really damaging to babys psyche.
Load More Replies...My kids are 27 and 22. I never let them "cry it out" but I never did co-sleeping either. We had their crib in our bedroom and we got up to tend to them. And just being able to see and hear us was usually soothing to them by itself, especially when I sang to them. But there's no such thing as too much holding or caring for a baby who needs to know that when they need you, you're going to be there. My kids got to their toddler years very independent and they still are.
Humans are ridiculous when you think about it. What other mammal doesn't sleep with its baby close by?
This post can be...dangerous in responses. Let's be honest here, both have risks, each risk is entirely different than the other. Should it happen, both parents would feel guilty for life. Either method had it's merits. My kids all slept with me (except one, who slept in a bassinet next to the bed, but he has a disability that caused him to freak out when touched by anything other than a specific blanket)
Cosleeping is understandable because it's more comforting to mom and baby, but talk to your doctor.. best way to prevent SIDS is for baby to be in their own bed.. that bed can be right next to yours or in another room, but they should not be in your bed with you
Haha, I can admit that I've blamed the baby. Think this also applies to dog owners.
Yeah, cat owners too. Hell, I imagine bird, lizard, and hamster owners do it too.
Load More Replies...Why? it is common sense....after baby body exists, and some never lose it. Some try and try and just can't, others breathe and look fit in 3 days. Just like any other workout, it is different for each person! Why does this need a special conversation? Moreover, the mother should take time to heal BEFORE trying to change that!
Load More Replies...I don't have kids but even I know never ask a mom who just gave birth or if she gain weight if she pregnant, let the mom say it
Every body else mother seems so easy that I wonder what I'm doing wrong. I'm the only screaming mother in the playground and store and street and and, my baby car looks like I'm moving to another country.
Everyone is having a hard time being a new Mom. Seriously. My kids are 27 and 22 years old. I have known lots of Moms. None of us have a clue . Even when the baby isn't the first. You are you. Your baby is their own person. You will figure it out, promise. It's going to be okay. Being a parent is beautiful, hard, scary, dirty, messy, gross, funny, fun and waaaayyyy too glittery, and it's hard work
Load More Replies...What's the deal with that shark song? I don't know the lyrics in English but in my language they sing "... and there came bloooood." What's the purpose of this crazy song?
the youtube version in english has no blood, just "run away"
Load More Replies...I have baby songs going on inside my head all day long. It's so annoying, I can't make it stop. Just shut up, brain!
I work in childcare and I do this. Not a mom yet, but super excited for it!
i can't even read it without Hearing the song in my head or sing along
I'm so glad I don't know this song ^^ - only read it from time to times on the internet
Load More Replies...Kjorn, you obviously don't have children. The best part about these kind of HAZMAT incidents include it spreading all the way up their back and into the sweet fluff of hair they have. It's amazing the amount of poop that can come out of an infant...it gets even "better" as they get older...
I had this quite literally ten minutes after the previous change, because babies
Load More Replies...I still have my little squirt bottle they gave me in the hospital. It's like America's only version of a bidet. Be awesome if we could catch up to Western Europe.
As a catmom (and not a personmom) I have no idea what you mean. What's happening there?
come on... the "parts down there" are just sore after giving birth... like having ridden on a meat grinder, if you're lucky
Load More Replies...does it really hurt,? asking because I don't have kids but just curious
It can. It usually does, if it doesn't hurt it's uncomfortable.
Load More Replies...Don't feed kids directly. Always ask the mom.. You never know if they have a condition.. (I'm allergic to sugar.. it happens!)
This!! I once went ballistic when I saw someone giving my kids peanuts, I went from sweet mommy to Godzilla on fire faster than the speed of light
Load More Replies...Dont feed: children, dongs horses or any other animal it dont belongs to you
Good lord!! The guy is sitting on the sh!tter playing Candy Crush or watching video gamers on YouTube!! Every husband/dad does this (takes longer than he needs to drop a deuce) because it gains him some alone time. That's why there are memes about it!
Literally dropping one right now wasting time on BP.
Load More Replies...They are biscuits or cookies as they are known in the US that are used to help increase breastmilk supply. Currently there is no scientific evidence that it actually works but many mums swear by them.
Load More Replies...I never had lactation cookies. My daughter baked some for herself, but I never needed them.
Whats with that dry shampoo thing? I never seen that and it sounds disgusting to be honest. Just my oppinion for myself. I don't mind anyone else using it... however that works
its only the best thing that has ever been invented if you have oily hair. I use it every other day because I wash my hair every other day.
Load More Replies...Hilarious. Id be happy to do it, if the little €$%#^ would sit still on the potty long enough!
Can we please stop painting fathers as,useless imbeciles when it comes to,children?
Thank you Herb!!! I would upvote you a thousand times if I could.
Load More Replies...I can see people take this very serious 🙈. This is (like a lot of other cartoons) a bit over exaggerated. In some other of my comics I do say how great my husband is. This is a bit over the top but still something a lot of moms can relate to. Because no matter how great the dad is, the first weeks after birth is a lot of times the time where most women do a lot more things while getting almost zero sleep. And I just wanted to portrait that feeling and poke fun at it a bit. No hard feelings :).
A lot of new mums have it hard because their men are useless. The artist is just putting relatable stuff into her art. So far I have been able to relate to all of this. Being a mum has been a hell of a lot easier on my own.
Men don't have to push a human being out their body or have a baby suck on their nipples I don't care how Much he helps. They cannot come close to comparing.
Load More Replies...Sorry, but wrong. And really it is insulting to say that dad's don't help, and this has been repeatedly reference by this artist and many others.
Reading the complaints from the guys here, guys can be helpful... and if you don't acknowledge and praise us for washing the two plates in the sink.... we are going to online b***h about it until someone agrees we helped. - if you don't like the message, click out of the thread and look at something else. Glad you help your wife, good for you. But don't cry foul when a joke is made about how some men are useless with newborns
dad have role just like mom does, when I was young my mom was a working mom so my dad took care of me, sadly I lost him when I was 10
Yes, kids can be jerks on planes. But kids don't know any better. There is also a large amount of adults on planes that are jerks, and they should know better
I flew with my one year old baby for my grandma's passing. 3 plane rides in one week. I didn't expect her to be such a good flyer. She didn't cry once. And the passengers next to me kept playing with her cause she's just in a happy playful mood.
I don't get this. Why do you do that? And why store it? Its the first thing baby sucks from your breast after birth. You don't need it later.
If your baby is in special care some mums pump for the baby to feed them via a tube.
Load More Replies...Maybe ease up on the "dad's are useless" ideas in here? Just because one mother may have a useless partner does not make all dad's bad, just like not all mothers are good at it.
Sorry this is what you got from it. I am not really 100 per cent serious about it. It is just to express an emotion and exaggerated to be used for a cartoon. (Like many other emotions and situations). If you see some of the other cartoons I do you would read about the nice things I say about dads too :). Parents are awesome, and that counts for dads too. These cartoons are more focused on women because it is my cartoon channel and that's my way of dealing with situations from my perspective. I felt quiet overwhelmed as a new mom and all of my cartoons channel those different emotions. Especially the early ones. If you go to my channel though you will see the more recent ones are a lot more positive towards men. Have a good day :).
Load More Replies...Makes me think of the time when my children were babies.... It was exactly the same :-)
Hey great husband carry a human inside your body for 9 months, and deal with all the stuff pregnancy comes with, go into labor for 12 hours, have your body destroyed, have a baby suck your nipples for nutrition and be completely sleep deprived. Unless the mom is a junkie/ crack head and neglects the baby with the man to deal with everything then I'll side with him.
I think one of my worst fears is giving birth. The moms starter pack made my woman parts cringe
