Some kid was shooting birds in his back yard and the bullet hit my friend. If the boys and girls line was reversed it would of been me. And I was like 2 inches shorter than him. It hit him in the chest , luckily didn't hit his heart. He lived but it traumatized me.

It was chaos. People yelling, some encouraging them, others objecting. The teacher came back and some of the students actively held the door to prevent her from interrupting. The cops got involved. It was all over the news and the school shut down for like 3 days.

Mid 1990s.

The Varsity Captain, Varsity Co-captain and the Junior Varsity Captain robbed the pizza place next to my after-school job and m*rdered someone I knew that worked there. One of them worked there, and they planned to stage a fake robbery; the other two being the robbers and “forcing” him to open the safe and registers. An off-work employee stopped by randomly while this was happening and one of the “robbers” shot him >!in front of his 2 year old son!< with the very real gun.

The shooter was in my psychology class, and in my desk pod (the classroom was arranged in groups of 4 desks pushed together). Let’s call him S. All week our teacher would make sure we were all doing okay— this happened in the mall closest to our high school so dozens of juniors and seniors worked in the varying businesses there. S would make these comments like “damn, I hope they get him” and “that’s scary, so close to home….” One day, maybe that same week even, the police came to the school and I’ll never forget how I felt in this moment — S was called to the office during our class and he just stood up, gathered his backpack and book, smiled at us all, and said something like “well, that’s that,” or “about time” and “it’s been good, y’all” something that hinted at admission.

Pretty sure I remember they canceled a bunch of games; the joke in town was “Oooh don’t play ______ High, they have a k*ller football team!”

The trial was a whole debacle because there were other students - other football players - peripherally involved… like how they got the gun from another varsity football player (not present during the shooting) who worked at a sporting goods store and had stolen it from their boss. All three were found guilty — mainly because they used a school logo football bag during the robbery and then dumped the empty bag in the park between the school and the mall — and got varying sentences. I think S was tried as an adult and might still be in prison.

Went to the movies alone, and he was there, sat down next to him, and he moved a seat away. He was a history teacher, and it was a horrible, inaccurate history movie. Ask if he wanted to grab dinner and dicuss it. He was divorcing his wife and I had my mom (she was a us history professor) meet us with her colleagues and grad students. We all ate and they went to a bar for a trivia night and I went home.

He messaged me years later and said that dinner made him felt human again and not a shell. He met his now wife a month later at a teaching conference.

Funny thing is that the X-Games were on a tape delay so even though they were on tv, they had happened a couple weeks before he tried to drive to Colorado.

Once their relationship was found out, they tried to drive to Canada (no idea why they decided on Canada) but got picked up at the border. Never saw the teachers aide again. Student went from shy, quiet girl before meeting the aide to batsh*t crazy after returning from their attempted getaway.

I've posted this before on BP but my mom's school takes the cake. *Trigger warning - proceed with caution* There was this absolute AH of a teacher in my mom's school that was apparently horrid to all his pupils. Well, being in a bad part of town (some 40yrs later it is still considered gangster territory) he ticked someone off pretty badly that they actually tracked down his infant daughter, decapitated her and placed her head on his desk to find in his first class of the day. Thinking of the amount of hatred his pupils had for him to actually anticipate him walking through that door whilst sitting mere meters from a poor innocent girls head makes me shudder even while typing this.

The mom of a middle school girl dressed in her daughter's clothes to look younger, went into the school in the morning with the rest of the students, and beat the c**p out of a girl that had been bothering her daughter. During the beating, she was encouraging her daughter to get a few punches and kicks in. This happened at a middle school, so the girls were no older than 14. She was arrested.

That woman was stupid. There was a kid that I wanted to slap the s**t out of for bullying my son I'm 6th grade but I would never do that. He left him alone after his brother went to pick him up after school one day, highschool and middleschool. My son had to park Instead of pulling up around front for some reason that day and walked up behind that bully threatening his brother. He asked him if he wanted to try that c**p with him, that kid turns around and looks UP. My oldest is 6' 7" tall, that kid didn't bother my other son anymore. He was also just starting in Taekwondo for self defense, my oldest had been in it since 6th grade also. That kid did end up in prison for murder though.

On our last day of school some guys in my grade lit fireworks in the road outside. One of the fireworks flew off, landed in a neighbouring house’s yard (or their balcony) and went off. It was loud but I don’t think there was any damage. The guys got some minor punishment from school (it was our last day but before our graduation). We all found it hilarious, including some teachers, cause that neighbour always had beef with our school and kept calling the police on minor issues like noise complaints. All of us hated that house.

My first day at secondary school, someone who left the year before turned up at lunchtime and stabbed a student in had had trouble with the year before. He was apprehended by the maths teacher and marched to the office to wait for the police to arrive. This was a rural UK school where knife crime really wasn't a thing so it was a major news story for a while.

the whole lock down such, the bathrooms were not attached t other school, i went to it and they called a lock down, and i ran to the doors and they were locked, I'm stuck outside between the parking lot and the bathrooms, someone comes to the door, i tell them i was in the bathroom when it called, please let me in, the person {it was an adult and princeables assistant we found out} told me to be quiet and stop pounding on the door and go away, not to g o to the bathroom or they would help me, just i would be quiet and leave so i don't call the dude i guess, well thankfully my home was a few streets away, i get up figure what the hell and run home, my mom is home about to take my aunt to work, shes surprized, cause she dropped me off like 3 hours before, i tell her, i got locked out and they wouldn't let me in and there's a shooter there, she started calling police and ...short tearms, they kicked me out and we got money to pay for any other school i wanted to go to.... but good lord

Not my school, and not even when I was in high school; but I always bring it up in articles like this. The high school a town over had their entire student body get caught up in a nude photo ring. Every student had a nudes photo of every other student. The youngest involved was 13, the oldest was 19. I don't think anyone got charged with anything; but all extracurriculars were canceled the rest of the year and to this day the school has a strict no phone policy.

We had a student who chained another student to a lamppost and whipped him, he got away with it ‘cause he was a schoolboy weightlifting champion and the protégés of our deputy head. One summer a bunch of students met with a ‘rival’ school for a fight and one lad turned up with his Dad’s sawn off shotgun, yeah, he got arrested, this is the U.K. y’know? We had a teacher sent down for SA on two girls who were 14, he then locked them in a storeroom and only let them out if they promised not to report him, they lied, he let them out, they then reported him, he traumatised those two poor girls, scumbag. Two teachers who hooked up with sixth formers, 17 year old male students who thought it was ok. The school and the Police took a very dim view of those teachers.

Didn't happen AT school but when I was in HS, one of our schoolmates was hired to m*rder a girl our age (around 15). He ended up killing her and stabbed her dad. He did it for a bit of money and status I believe. The person who hired him was another teenage girl that had beef with the victim over something silly. He got out after a few years and went straight back to committing crimes
