The rapper and the writer attended the Olympic dressage competition in full costume, even though Snoop Dogg had confessed to a fear of horses before the event.

“I am interested in the horses that dance and I want to give them some carrots and apples, make sure they’re fed before they do their thing,” he said in an interview.

For NBC, who owns the exclusive media rights for the Olympics until 2032, Snoop Dogg’s role as a correspondent has been a massive boon.

“We’ve been pleasantly surprised by his popularity, but you never underestimate Snoop Dogg. He’s this wonderful mix of swagger and positivity,” said Molly Solomon, executive Olympics producer to the Associated Press.

The Netherlands’ Sifan Hassan delivered an incredible burst in the final 250 meters of the women’s marathon, securing gold with an Olympic record time of 2:22:55.

Additionally, the 31-year-old Olympian was particularly admired for choosing to wear a hijab during the closing ceremony, a move many considered a slap in the face of France’s controversial ban against wearing the headwear during competition.

“No one should impose on a woman what she needs to wear or not wear,” said Marta Hurtado, a spokesperson for the UN's Human Rights Office.

Just an FYI, "France’s controversial ban against wearing the headwear during competition" this statement is super misleading. The ban is ONLY for French citizens. While I don't agree with it one iota, the ban doesn't apply to those who aren't French athletes

Imane Khelif And Lin Yu-Ting Rise To The Top Of The Women’s Boxing Competition Despite Controversy Surrounding Their Gender

Imane Khelif And Lin Yu-Ting Rise To The Top Of The Women’s Boxing Competition Despite Controversy Surrounding Their Gender

Boxers Imane Khelif from Algeria and Lin Yu-Ting from Taiwan won the gold medals in the welterweight and featherweight classes of the women’s division of the sport amid a gender eligibility controversy between the International Boxing Association (IBA) and the International Olympics Committee (IOC).

According to tests done by the IBA, the boxers were reported to have an advantage due to possessing XY chromosomes. The IOC considered these tests to be invalid and reaffirmed the athletes as cis-gendered women, considering any further inquiry into their biology to be discriminatory.

Despite the controversy, their respective countries celebrated their victories with enthusiasm, choosing them as flag bearers for the closing ceremony of the games.

The IBA is actually under investigation prior to this controversy which is one of the reasons the IOC took them out of being in charge of the boxing portion of the competitions and took over themselves. The IBA is filled with men from russia that are being investigated for taking bribes and some shady decisions in regards to boxers and fight outcomes. The only PROOF of any test done to either lady was a one time testosterone test done. the first time they were asked to provide proof for the dna test they actually confessed there was none but when the media started picking up on the controversy they went back and double downed on there being a test and it showed XY but again like the person said has never actually provided proof. However both fighters passed all required tests that the OIC do to verify. Also this is not the Algerians first Olympics. She was in the Tokyo ones and made it to the semi finals but lost and didnt medal at all, she lost to an Irish fighter.

The IBA never actually provided any evidence of their claim at all and still refuses to do so. So rather than the test results being invalid, it's more accurate to say there are no test results in the first place.

On what basis were they ruled invalid? Did the IOC perform their own tests? Does the sport now reject such testing as inherently discriminatory, or only in Khelif's and Yu-Ting's cases?

She has no XY FFS, it's a lie and Algeria every brought it to the UN Securty Council. Can we stop spreading online misinformation ? She was born a woman she has femine genitals and periods. The lies are insane.

There are cis women born with XY chromosomes. There are men who live with XX chromosomes. There are intersex people. All of those cases are classified as "DSD" and are well known in endocrinology. Imane is a woman with XY, and it's just something that happens and doesn't make her any less of a woman. But besides that, people seem completely oblivious that Algeria has strict anti-lgbtq laws, hormonal therapy and transitioning are illegal and impossible, and Algeria would never have sent a trans woman to represent.

Wait? Why was my comment hidden? When I said no one actually knows anything and mentioned different types of DSD, including where she could have XY chromosomes and still be a biological woman. I also blamed the IOC for not sorting this before the Olympics. Why can't people openly and respectfully discuss things anymore?

You also wanted to disqualify Michael Phelps for having a larger span of his arms than his body height and having just huge hands? All women have testosterone, too. Between 2% to 20% women have PCOS, meaning they as a biological, genetically female have about the testosterone level of an average man. You want to disqualify them, too?

Unfortunately, you can risk extreme punishment in Algeria for being LGBTQIA+ (people can be killed). The false accusations about Khalife being a man could have really endangered her life back home. I feel horrible for all the bullying she went through during the Olympic games but am glad that she showed the haters and won the gold.

Khalife is a woman- pure and simple. How dense do you have to be to not understand? Wow, imagine being so freaking ignorant that you're making fun of a GOLD MEDALIST. You've been reported.

Team USA’s Lyles Snatches The Gold Medal Away From Jamaica’s Thompson By Mere Inches In Heart-Stopping Finale

Team USA’s Noah Lyles faced the greatest challenge of his career when he faced Jamaica’s Kishane Thompson at the Olympic 100m final.

Despite a slow reaction to the starting gun, Lyles’ remarkable top speed propelled him from eighth to third place at an impressive 43.6 km/h peak.

Thompson had already reached his own top-performing pace by then, and he led from the 25m mark all the way until the 95m mark, which was when Lyles’ superior stamina and a slight lean forward granted him the win.
