Guy Shares What It’s Like Living With 27 Moms And 150 Siblings
InterviewDifferent religions and profound beliefs that are not that common if not fascinate people, then at least awaken their curiosity and bring a lot of questions to the table. One of these religions is Mormonism. And of course, a lot of unknown leaves room for interpretation. Even though Mormonism has a lot of the same traditions as Christianity, there are still some features that distinguish it from other religious groups. One of these features is polygamy.
Polygamy, or being married to multiple partners, is not a common phenomenon. In fact, this topic raises a lot of questions and leads to serious discussions on human rights. Despite this, there are people who decide to follow this religion and to lead a polygamist lifestyle, which only makes it more interesting to find out how they manage to live a life entirely devoted to their faith and family that is as large as the whole community. One of those examples is TikToker @kayezer0, an ex-Mormon who decided to share his experience of growing up in a polygamous family with 150 siblings.

Murray Blackmore, better known as Kaye Zero to TikTok users, gained a lot of attention after he shared a video where he stated that he grew up with one dad, 27 moms, and 150 siblings. Soon people had more questions for Murray, who gladly answered them in these short TikTok videos. As it turned out, his family are Mormons who lead a polygamist lifestyle.
In one of the videos, he shared that he is a middle child and explained in more detail what it was like to grow up with this many kids in the family, from kids being named according to the system that their parents came up with to everyday logistics that had to be followed to make sure that everyone was taken care of.
His parents announced that they’re expecting another kid and it’s hard to tell if they’re not planning on having more

In one of his recent videos, Murray shared that the parents are expecting another kid, which means that there will be 151 siblings or even more, as with this many wives, this could be not the end of it.
Murray’s parents came up with a “naming strategy” by giving names that start with the same letter to kids that were born the same year
The TikToker never questioned the fact that he has such a big family

Bored Panda contacted the TikToker and also asked him few questions. Now Murray is an ex-Mormon. Having in mind that usually, such tight communities take it really hard when someone decides to leave, we were curious to find out why he decided to stop following the religion and how his family have taken it. He stated: “Growing up there was always a piece of me that never really connected to the beliefs of Mormonism. I stayed a part of the church to feel like I belonged with my family. It wasn’t until I entered adulthood that I decided it just wasn’t right for me. At first it was hard to tell my family, but over time, it became easier.”
He answered some questions posed by people online and showed some insights of living together with so many people

For those who are not the only child in their family, do you remember ever fighting for attention from your parents? Can you imagine what it’s like when you have this many siblings? Murray told us that his father has 150 children and his mother—10. He is the middle child in both cases. “As much as I wanted attention from my parents, they just couldn’t give it to me. It’s impossible to give each child equal attention when there are so many. The attention I did get was from my siblings and I am very grateful to have had many role models in my life.”
According to Murray, having siblings is one of the biggest advantages of having a large family. When you have this many brothers and sisters, you never really feel lonely as you always have someone to interact with.

The TikToker has made multiple videos about his family, answering many questions that people have for him. The video where he explains the whole family situation got 7.3M views and the video of him announcing that there is another kid on the way got 6.8M views. The videos are full of various comments of people who are curious to find out more. Bored Panda asked Murray how people react when they find out that he’s from such a large family. He admitted that at first people are shocked, but then they tend to choose one of the two ways: “they either think it’s interesting and want to learn more about it or they contribute to the slander that’s been a ‘shadow’ over my family.”
Polygamy is a very controversial topic to this day. The practice of polygamy in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) was banned in 1890. However, fundamentalist Mormons still choose to have more than one spouse. Since it is illegal in most countries, they usually solve this problem by legally marrying one woman and having other women as their “spiritual wives.” The issue of polygamy is still a sensitive topic for Mormons and a cause for debate among them and the public.

Share on FacebookThe breath-taking arrogance and blatant disregard for the planet here disgusts me. I know that there are many Christians out there that think that their god literally gave them the Earth to do with what they please. Awful. Why does one man think the Earth needs 150 copies of his DNA? Vomit worthy.
All it takes is one house fire. They have a snowball's chance of getting all those people out of that place in time. Where are the fire marshals?
Load More Replies...They need to take that husband to the vet and get him fixed, like 26 marriages ago.
My Husband's family was LDS (the regular kind). I am Catholic. They hated me from the get-go. Even offered him $K to divorce me. When he passed they tried to take his body away from me! Saying he had to be buried with "his family"! The fact that he had made it clear where he wanted to be buried (not in their family cemetery) meant nothing to them. His sister wrote and published his obituary before I could and didn't even mention our 30+ year marriage! My son helped me write and publish a revised one and our lawyer got custody of the cremains so he could be buried where he wanted to be. But it was a long horrid nasty fight. Needless to say, I moved away as soon as I could!
Sorry you had to deal with those type of in-laws. But I'm glad you got 30+ years with him and he stood his ground in wanting to be buried where he wanted. It's a shame his family didn't respect either of you. You moved away, good on you! I hope you're living your best now, aside from missing your husband. Best wishes! :)

If one man has 27 wifes, then 26 men, on average go without. The elder men decide who gets wed to whom. And young men do not get wed, so that old men get together with very young wifes...
Those young men are tossed out of the community with pretty much grade school education. They suffer a lot from underemployment in menial pickup work because of this.

Whenever and wherever women are treated like brood mares, you have a toxic situation, if not a cult, on your hands.
To out-breed normal people, so they can rise up and take control of whatever nation they reside in.
Load More Replies...This is just gross. I can't even. How do you remember all their names? How do you remember birthdays? How do you do birthdays and Christmases and graduations etc. Nothing would ever be THEIR day. I have 4 kids and there's sibling rivalry. FOUR. No way I could ever be ok with my SO going and sleeping with another woman and impregnating her. I'm equally fascinated and disgusted. So many questions.
Yeah, in effect, most of them would simply be growing up without a Dad, right - not to mention all the specifics of everything you mentioned.
