There is a reason why they are called makeup artists. If you ever doubted the artistic value of makeup before, Chinese vlogger He Yuhong will change your mind with her stunning recreations of historic works, and oh yeah, Taylor Swift too.

Ms. He, 26, posts her work on her Miaopai video channel, and recent uploads of her transforming her face into masterpieces by Leonardo De Vinci, Mona Lisa in particular, have proved a massive hit. She has gone massively viral on Chinese social media, with her video being viewed more than 20 million times!

“Once you see your face as a blank piece of paper, the opportunities are endless,” she wrote next to her imitative makeup series. She set out to prove this after a fan jokingly suggested that she should expand her transformations from Chinese and Western celebrities to include classical works of art, and as you can see for yourself, she certainly succeeded.

“I love oil paintings myself,” Ms. He told the Daily Mail. “So, when I saw the great response on the Mona Lisa video, I went on to create ‘Lady with an Ermine’ to continue the Da Vinci theme.” Each creation takes between 4 to 6 hours, and while she is overwhelmed by the support she has received, she is unsure which character she transform herself into next. We are waiting to find out!

Scroll down to see how she does it for yourself, and let us know what you think in the comments!

I am sorry, but I was baffled for a second when I reached at last image, thinking is the next image has she done make up to look like a pigeon. Gladly it wasn't the case.
