I believe that when a woman becomes a mom she gains some kind of super powers. It's simply too hard to believe that they are all that good in multitasking, caring and selflessness without any kind of magic.
Lucy Knisley is a cartoonist and one of those magical moms. She draws adorable illustrations about her life as a mother to a 10-month old baby boy that she calls Pal (short for "Palindrome," because his birthday was a palindrome date). It's not the real name of the adorable one, but Lucy did not want to subject him to Internet name recognition.
Lucy explores various topics about how a child might affect your life - from sleepless nights to friends and fears.

Follow your feelings....If you love your kids, then everything will be fine
Ha! Every mother I've met is like "When they go to sleep, we have to be extra quiet because I need that time alone for once".
When I get a baby I will definitely do this when my wife least expect it. It will make her either laugh or drive her insane!... But first I need a wife.
So satisfying when it works. Heartbreaking when it doesn't. I had one of each!
We now travel with all five of us having our stuff in a single laundry basket. Hubby lifts and off we go!
I feel your pain. When I attempt to get all three in the pic it's really humorous.
Decide your reaction based on theirs, not theirs off of yours. They're usually okay but will sense its worse if they see or hear panic.. Sponges!
My first baby never sleep for her first 3 months, I almost felt of the bridge with my car, sleep while driving, then i took her to my mother in law in the village, she put my baby to sleep just an instant in her arm (I think she cast a spell on the baby, I believe my mother in law is a guardian fairy for children)
Don't carry baby that way. It seems heavier and it's not good for him nor your back.
I always breast feed my baby whe she cries. Boobs always solve problems
My husband says he has never enjoyed a museum since our son was born... Doesn't stop him going though!
i bet he has a whale of a time in the bath, it was money whale spent ;o)
The nurses gave my son a pacifier in the nicu, and now he's obsessed with it. Won't use the same type as back up, it has to be That One. I dread the day I finally lose it.
Near as I can tell, lass, you're a GREAT mother. Keep your good work up.
